Not sure what's happened here but the last time I was here was for a birthday dinner and I had a delicious piece of fish. My out of town date had the just-OK sea bass -- and sea bass should never be "just ok." I had the risotto which was far too al dente, and on top of that clumpy. They do not know the meaning of the word "risotto." Besides that, we were initially told we could get a garden table, sat at the bar for a few minutes to wait, only to be told that no, we would not be able to have a garden table. Does that mean they gave our intended table elsewhere? Who knows, but why not just tell us no from the start? And why did other people get a garden table if it is "first come first serve" and we told them we could wait? Bartender was not attentive while we were trying to close out and get to our table, and that's fine, they just let us transfer the bar tab to the table. Then the table was wobbly AF. Our server, who was very nice (but that's what a server should be) tried to fix it but to no avail. Sure, these things happen -- but why should the customer who's just looking for a nice night out be paying for subpar food at high prices, wobbly table and nothing special drinks? Ridiculous. I live in the area and won't be back. The pretty restaurant vibe doesn't come close to saving it.

Food and drinks were exceptional! The salmon, beef tenderloin, and blueberry tart dessert were outstanding. Every employee we intersected with, from beginning to end, was attentive and professional. The building and ambience are remarkable. Highly recommend Geist!

Loved our dining experience again at Geist. Our service was OUTSTANDING! We had an early reservation for our anniversary. The bartender was also our server and he and his drinks were fantastic (wish I'd gotten his name, because he was great!). We received a free beautiful watermelon and beet salad as our anniversary treat (unfortunately neither of us like watermelon or beets, but we certainly appreciated the gesture.) The decor for the outdoor area was beautiful (a Veuve Clicquot floral theme-flowers EVERYWHERE!). Loved our evening. Will be back again soon.

Payne our server was wonderful; Knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The food is always wonderful! Love Geist. Highly recommended!

The company of friends made this an exceptional evening. That said, food was good but the menu is limited. Salads seemed a little overpriced for what was served. Noise level on a weeknight was moderate. Lots of bouncing sounds. Booked a table just a couple of hours before our arrival time but had to secure with my Amex against a cancellation—though clearly they were not fully booked. We had Geist on our list of restaurants to visit. So glad we did. We will explore others.

The food and shrimp bucatini was spectacular and Karman’s service was just as good. Our best dinner yet!
