The Living Room was created to satisfy the needs and comforts of travellers and local Torontonians alike. Windsor Arms’ newest restaurant is opened from 7AM until 2AM every day. We feature over 60 local craft drafts and beers including a new menu full of delectable comfort foods. The Living Room also has a premium international wine selection, which is the proud recipient of the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator for five consecutive years.

Interior designer Jacques Dinel of Dinel Designs brought British influence to the restaurant, setting the atmosphere of luxurious comfort. The Living Room is decorated with original print art from the UK and a formal dining area with original Charles Pachter paintings. Leon our server was so helpful and efficient and Janelle was also very friendly. The food was delicious and the birthday treat was such a delight. My friend felt so special.

We went for the lunch Summerlicious menu at Gatsby. The venue is quaint and charming. I ordered the crisp calamari, I tried one and it was so chewy and my husband tried it and agreed, so I sent it back. Both servers came back and said they had tried it too and it was way overcooked. I was asked if I would like it grilled instead. I was astonished by this offering and very pleased. It came out grilled in a tasty broth and delicious. That they could pivot like this impressed me. The servers were pleasant and very efficient. I had the steak, a very generous portion (the server kindly wrapped the remainder for me) and my husband had the mussels which he enjoyed immensely. The pavlova was to die for!

Pleasantly surprised after reading so many bd reviews but we had a great time but albeit limited food for us, just drinks and a couple of nublies. Ambiance was amazing, Erron live music is excellent, regular on Friday nights, staff were amazing not pretentious at all. Told us when we were seated minimum $50 each (even though I called earlier and they said not enforced), so I corrected the hostess to let them know we might not do that and we didn’t and it wasn’t a problem. I wouldn’t sit and watch free jazz with a few drinks. Food coming out was good but they shouldn’t limit you to Summerlicious, it’s a cost savings measure for them, all restaurants let you order from regular menu as well but not Gatsby

Beautiful place. Been there before. However this event fell far short of the hype attached to it. First we showed up and the restaurant was not open. Reservation for 130. We didn’t get in and seated until 150pm. The entire seating for the 130pm session was standing in the, albeit quaint, lobby that was overcrowded and very frustrating. When we got seated we were able to go to the buffet. For the most part the food was very good. However one guy cooking eggs for the entire seating (I would guess 100 people) meant long lines and no where to wait, thus slowing down access to the rest of the food in the line for those who didn’t want eggs? Some of the food had evidently been sitting for a while in the heat trays and had dried out substantially. Our waiter, while very congenial, was not very alert. He seemed more concerned with clearing plates than with insuring our experience was optimal. We had to ask for salt and pepper twice, three times for a coffee refill and had to enquire at least twice as to where our beverages that we had ordered were. Finally, thankfully we did not valet our car. The valet service was swamped and I heard one guest complain he’d been waiting for 30 minutes for their car?? Call me overly critical but this event was poorly managed. $150 each for breakfast buffet that promises an exquisite experience marred by being treated like cattle when you arrive and table service no better than what you might get at the local greasy spoon. Food that might have been a bit fresher and a valet service that added to frustration and confusion and the whole experience was questionable in my mind. I believe much of the value that might have been experienced was lost by this scenario. Management needs to take a long hard look at how they conduct these types of events. The sense I got was the individuals did what they could and were all very polite but the system employed is flawed and poorly thought out. Won’t be too anxious to return.

I went to Gatsby at the Windsor Arms Hotel for Mother's Day brunch. While the service, ambience and decor were impeccable the food was just okay. The selection of offerings was not very large and much of the seafood offerings were pretty tasteless. Also, the food was not restocked quick enough.

For the Mother’s Day brunch, they made the entire room wait 15 mins in the lobby before letting us in. It was another 15 mins before we could get coffee or mimosa’s which were warm. The food was cold or picked over, no bread, sausages or bacon, only one omelette station with the most basic min toppings. The seafood was low quality and the deserts were stale. Overall, it was a one star food experience and a shocking departure from past experiences at the Windsor arms. We couldn’t have been more disappointed.

Attended the Mother’s Day brunch. Windsor Arms sets a lofty expectation with a price tag of $145 plus tax and tip. Many positives to note. While the selection was modest, the quality of most items was very good. Impressed with the malpeque oysters, scallops and smoked salmon. The risotto in parmesan wheel was exceptional. Meat carving station with roast beef, lamb, pork belly and salmon all well prepared. They seemed short staffed though and the meat carver had to eventually go to the kitchen to look after it leaving several of us standing in line waiting. Didn’t try the omelette station but it looked good. We did order eggs Benedict and that lead to an interesting encounter. First they brought to our table poached eggs in a pan to serve us. No plates, no english muffin, no hollandaise sauce and no Canadian bacon. Just the poached eggs. They caught on quickly that a few items were missing and went back to the kitchen to try again. They did return with something closer to eggs Benedict but one bite of the salty home made mayonese hollandaise sauce was enough to give up on that item. To their credit the eggs were poached perfectly. We had one other small blunder with the server not knowing how to provide milk for our coffee. He brought the milk in a tea cup which would have been messy to pour from. That got sorted after we explained the issue. In all the servers were extremely friendly and tried their best to please. They were attentive offering coffee and mimosas. It seemed they may have been lacking some training. At a standard buffet brunch this wouldn’t have stood out as unusual but again a lofty expectation was set. The desserts were excellent. Upon leaving Windsor Arms gives a token gift of teas which my wife, the mother being celebrated, was very happy to receive. It felt like an opportunity was missed to have service and training match the 5 star price and expectations.

The entertainment was outstanding! Will come back if Benanthony and company are performing. Food was excellent too but the entertainment made the night.
