Around the world, people gather with food for celebration, ceremony, and connection. Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar, located in The Leaf at Assiniboine Park, explores food from across cultures, incorporating fresh, locally-sourced, and seasonal ingredients from our gardens. Craveable dishes incorporate traditional flavours and techniques from around the world, inspired by the nature that surrounds us all. Pickled, preserved, fermented or straight off the vine, local ingredients are creatively prepared to highlight the amazing growers and farmers in Manitoba. Inventive, botanical cocktails made with herbs grown in-house, seasonal fruits, and house-made syrups will delight the senses.

I brought my Aunt from Vancouver to eat lunch and go to the Leaf. Making reservations was very easy. I felt the table selection was poor but we were able to move to a different spot, very accommodating hostess. Our server Eva was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. We order cocktails and one of the drinks wasn’t available but the mixologist offered to make an appropriate substitute which I thought was very kind. Our drinks were lovely and our food came out very quickly and was well paced. We ordered two sharable small plates the arctic char and the pork belly. They were knock outs! Beautiful presentation and very delicious. We also ordered the curry main plate with chicken to share. It was lacking and was the only thing that I really didn’t like about the experience. The curry tasted chalky and the curry spice tasted raw like it needed more simmering. The add on chicken was also very weird…. The chicken tasted crunchy and had an unpleasant taste and texture. However we ate most of it as I didn't want to complain. It wasn’t terrible just disappointing after such delightful apps. I wouldn’t order it again. I’ve had other large plates and they’ve been good so perhaps it was a one off. The Gathering is a lovely place to eat although expensive it is a treat. I only wish there were a few less expensive options I might go more often. Staff is very accommodating and friendly it’s a great place to take out of town guests or eat with good friends.

Our server was fantastic and friendly. She seemed to know exactly when to attend our table and was not intrusive. She had an excellent understanding of the menu and gave good recommendations.

Very welcoming venue and fabulous food. I was there by myself and felt comfortable, in a cozy atmosphere. The food was astonishing, well presented and of excellent quality. I recommend joining the visit with the Leaf Biome as a perfect combination to relax at the end of the day or for a special occasion.

Every one in our group raved about the food. The pork tenderloin meal was amazing. The risotto with scallops was so flavourful-- the best I've ever had. The desserts were beautifully presented and delicious. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The only very slight negative was the noise level in an open room. However, it did not mar the pleasurable experience of the evening. Will definitely be back!

Great value for incredible food! Attentive service, seated on time with reservations, quiet and comfortable. This is my new restaurant of choice!
