This was our first visit to the Gatehouse, will absolutely be back. Menu not overly large but beautifully curated - we wanted one of everything! Super fun venue with the prep and service all done by CIA students - and done very well. Only note was that they started running out of items later in the evening, so I'd suggest an early reservation.

Dinner was absolutely delicious. We did the 4 course menu and each item was executed perfectly. From the amuse bouche through to dessert, everything was amazing. The students were wonderful to interact with and they really knew their stuff. I highly recommend going here for dinner for a memorable experience.

We had a lovely dinner celebrating our anniversary! The food was phenomenal and well portioned so you can try many dishes without being too full. I highly suggest choosing the wine pairings option as they add a special touch to each dish. The staff was delightful and we’re looking forward to coming back the next time we’re in the area!

The food was very good, but the menu was limited. They ran out of the menu item I wanted to order. The servers were attentive, but our meal was delayed due to some sort of error in the kitchen. Their main restaurant in St Helena has moved to a different building since the last time we were there, so diners no longer get to watch the students cooking. Still a fun dining experience but not as much fun as in the previous building.

Went on recommendation from family who went years ago. Although it was a unique experience ( students) I found the food to be of very small portions and bland to my taste. We had a late reservation ( the only one available) and we felt rushed ! Our servers, albeit very nice was stumped with several questions about the dishes. Many different high end value restaurants in the area ~
