Join us for a unique dining experience that is unmatched in the Napa Valley. Set on the historic campus of The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Greystone, Gatehouse Restaurant showcases the talents of CIA students who have completed two years of rigorous study, under the supervision of our world-class faculty. Enjoy a meal inspired by local produce from the college’s own farms and gardens, and other high-quality ingredients. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

Only complaint is music was too loud for us to talk easily. (Husband hard of hearing). Everything else absolutely stellar. Loved seeing these budding chefs and restauranteurs honing their craft. Delightful experience with delicious courses so elegantly prepared and served. May they achieve their dreams!

Beautiful presentation, a delightful array of textures and colors and outstanding flavors. Wine paring was thoughtfully executed. A most for any occasion.

Incredible time! Everyone was super friendly, and our back server Fidel made sure our waters were absolutely full throughout the meal. The food was very well made, and each course was delicious- the students did an incredible job. I recommend going with friends or family to try as many dishes as possible. 100/10 time, cannot recommend going enough. Also got an awesome kitchen tour from one of the students Charlie, very cool to see the kitchen at work.

first thing we saw on arrival to parking lot was one of the students going out to the garden to select things for the kitchen. Saw that happen several times while we were there. All the chefs-in-training were very attentive, explained the food, were so well dressed and polite, friendly. It was a wonderful evening. And yes, we tried things we'd never heard of.

The students who cooked and served our meal were well-trained, courteous, knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. It was a pleasure to pay the 20% scholarship fund contribution in lieu of a tip. In all, it was an amazing dining experience.

Loved the experience our waitress was amazing as was the beverage boy! The food was good but not phenominal! I loved 2 of the 4 courses but the last too fell short … a little too much seasoning and lack of flavor. I did the wine pairing which I realised was a mistake as I’m quite picky about the wines I drink- so my own fault! All in all I would do it again and loved the idea of helping out learning chefs and waitstaff
