Set on the historic campus of The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Greystone, Gatehouse Restaurant showcases the talents of CIA students who have completed two years of rigorous study, under the supervision of our world-class faculty. Enjoy a meal inspired by local produce from the college’s own farms and gardens, and other high-quality ingredients. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

I just enjoyed another incredible four-course tasting menu at CIA Greystone. The food, ambiance, and service were all outstanding, making for a truly exceptional dining experience. In my opinion, it’s the best value for fine dining in Napa Valley—and even better, dining here helps support students as they advance their culinary careers.

The level of service matched to the reality that these are students was impressive. The cuisine experience was really second to none and it’s such a joy to realize these are professionals early in their training, executing at such a high-level.

Enjoyed this dinner so much! Portions were perfect and variety was great. Enjoyed the students learning the restaurant process. Food was magnificent!

Wonderful experience! We were visiting the area and were fortunate to have discovered the CIA had a location in Northern California. Ambiance, Service and food were excellent! The restaurant is staffed with highly professional students who take their craft seriously and work in earnest to provide an enjoyable experience. My husband wanted to pair his mesl with only wines from California and they were very accomodating! We were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary and the staff went out of their way to celebrate our special day. We were fortunate to meet the students professor. Thank you all for making our special day memorable! We highly recommend!

Overall five start experience! We love coming to the Gatehouse at CIA. The students are incredibly talented and kind and the food is out of this world !! Special shoutout to James and Amanda who went above and beyond beyond at our visit.

Everything was fabulous… Only wish there was a bigger window into the kitchen, and it would’ve been nice to have tablecloths for dinner, to make the room feel more upscale against the price point Look forward to going again

We did the four course lunch for restaurant week and it was fabulous! Such creative and beautifully presented food! Thoughtfully paired wines, and excellent service too! Definitely worth the price, such a wonderful experience all around!
