The Garrison House, in the heart of Brookline Village, blends innovative American cuisine with a lively and social bar focusing on modern craft beer and cocktails. It features the area's only mug club, with members' personalized mugs hanging prominently behind the historic bar. A second unique live entertainment venue, proudly called the Village Social Club, resides in a separate downstairs bar. Conveniently located near the Brookline Village MBTA stop, Longwood Medical area, Beth Israel, Brigham & Women's, Dana Farber, NETA, Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum, the MFA and Mass Art.

                                                              Boy, no kidding about the slow service. It took 45 minutes to get served. Also, didn’t know, my bad, but there’s a singer at Sunday brunch, sort of whiny Bob Seeger impersonator doing seventies stuff. Well intentioned, but kind of annoying. The food is mediocre. “Pretzel Bites” were little bread balls, breakfast pizza was ok but had some very nasty white goop drizzled across the top, yccch. But my elderly aunt liked it, probably because everyone brought their little kids, so we’ll be back!

                                                              Great beer selection and fantastically crafted cocktails. Beets, power bowl, fish, pastrami - all delicious and excellent fries. Pleasantly attentive waitress with perfect pace of service. The kind of experience (a hello offered from the bar on the way in and a food runner who cared about the details!) you want repeated. Will be a regular!

                                                              A yummy lunch with creative and delicious summertime flavors. Service was attentive without being solicitous, the hush puppies were awesome, my watermelon salad was solid. It could have used a little more watermelon and cheese. Drinks were good. A solid choice and would not hesitate to come back.

                                                              What a fabulous brunch! The Poutine was exceptional, live music was great, and the warm welcome we received was even better. We are new to the neighborhood, but will be making this a regular stop from now on. Also, Katie was the friendliest server we have met so far. Thank you!

                                                              First time we tried Garrison House but had driven past it. Really enjoyed the restaurant. It was mid-afternoon (3PM) so pretty empty but the decor is cool, the beer and wine list was great and all four of us enjoyed our meals. The wait-staff was attentive but also patient as we took our time! :-) We will return!
