Nestled in a historic Victorian style mansion, Gardenia is situated in a prime location – the heart of bustling Los Gatos downtown. Gardenia will serve as a community hub for locals and visitors alike, helping foster genuine connection through weekly events and neighboring partners. Striving for excellence, we will offer the finest beverages with a focus on distinctive coffee. Along with our drinks, we will provide gourmet food & exceptional service.

Please note that when making a reservation, you may be placed at a lounge area. This is not tradition seating. Feel free to leave in the request if you would like to avoid the lounge areas. Had brunch with friends one day and returned the next day with my husband since the food was delicious and creative, the ambiance had a casual upscale feel (inside and out), the staff friendly and professional. Ati ( spelling ?) was delightful and attentive. I had avocado toast with tempeh the first day and the second day we had pork hash browns, lobster deviled eggs, Brussels sprout hash, and mocktails. I really wanted to add a pastry but was really quite full after the meal. A lovely way to send a Sunday brunch.

Beautiful setting. Went for brunch on a Sunday. Moderately busy morning crazy. Delicious food and good coffee. Very accommodating of dietary restrictions such as gluten and dairy. Service was also quick and attentive while not being too pushy. Great experience overall. A tad bit expensive but that’s expected in Los Gatos

Horrible service. I’ve been there three times now and there is clearly very little training with the wait staff. Really? You have to ask me if I’m going to tip you?

My wife and I went to Gardenia for dinner on a Friday night. Getting reservations was relatively easy. Our meal was very good. We started with DUNGENESS CRAB BEIGNETS, and we split the GARDENIA SALAD. Both were nice portions and very favorable. The crab beignets were served with a mustard sauce. We had PAN ROASTED BAJA STRIPED BASS and WESTHOLME WAGYU COULOTTE STEAK AU POIVRE for our meal. Both were prepared very well. Many restaurants overcook the fish, which was not the case here. Finally, we had the DARK CHOCOLATE MOUSSE and LEMON TART for dessert. Both were tremendous and presented beautifully. The service was also excellent, with great attention from our server and the manager. Although they have only been open for dinner for three weeks, they are off to a great start. We will be back.

Food was pretty good but not excellent. Service was pretty poor, not directly rude but just not attentive. Had to wait for 20 plus minutes for a check after trying to get our waiter attention multiple times and a few other issues like the waiter not checking when we asked what beers they have on tap, just said he didn’t know as they change often. Several other service issues like that were our main complaint. Beautiful restaurant with a great outdoor garden patio otherwise.

The vibe and ambience is lovely . It’s a cute house style cafe. Loved the food. Almond flour pancakes were the best.
