We had a deal staying at the hotel that included a 3 course meal, however, unless you ordered the risotto, what came as your main could not reasonably be classed as a 'meal' since it came with no accompaniments - these had to be purchased at approx £6 per dish, for potatoes/chips and/or veg. My friend ordered potatoes and it was a generous portion, but still, we both felt that it was something that should have been included, even in some small way, to legitimately call that course a meal. That aside, the food was all delicious and beautifully presented.

We were kept waiting for 10 minutes before being seated even though we had booked. We then had to flag down a server to order drinks. Our food arrived an hour later. My duck was tasteless, cold and tough as if it had been frozen. The scallops came with breadcrumbs on them (frozen?) which was not explained on the menu. We were there for a 60th birthday celebration and unfortunately were not made to feel special in any way. The manager was very kind and understood our concerns and my friend was given a dessert for her birthday. The prices do not match the quality of the food . £18 for a bit of aubergine (vegetarian option). Vastly overpriced and extremely underwhelming. Do not recommend for a special occasion.

My friend and I were more than impressed by the quality of the food served at the Gardenia. Every course was delicious as was the wine with excellent service. Thank you!

Just amazing the food was outstanding compliments to the chef we was sat by a window with the scenery overlooking the garden which was perfect as it was our first Anniversary. Our waitress was very professional polite and cheerful and congratulated us on our Anniversary very pleasant. The prices was a bit high but to be fair we all know that the cost of living has expanded so in all honesty we did expect it to be high but you know what it was worth every penny we highly recommend 100% .

The ambiance was lovely as it was in the Eastwell Manor. The menu looked wonderful but we were a bit underwhelmed once we ate. The service was chaotic - at least 4 people came to our table but we never knew who had the lead. Cocktails were terrible - disconnect on what a dry martini really was - our food arrived before cocktails. We wound up leaving as no one came to get a coffee or dessert order for 20 minutes. The staff tried hard and were friendly but service was all over the place so it was disappointing.

We came for a spa stay, but were massively impressed by the meal we had in the Gardenia restaurant. The soup was delicious, the salad starter was fresh, tasty, and well presented. The onglet steak was cooked to perfection and possibly the tastiest and most tender steak I've ever tasted. It melted in your mouth and was full of flavour. Delicious accompaniments too. Definitely recommend.

It was a beautiful setting and service was excellent. The food was excellent but would have liked more vegetables and my vegetable wellington was dry and over cooked. Would definitely visit again.
