We are happy to announce we have tea available on Sundays.

Our Tea Room is pretty busy, dates are released three months in advance of the date of the tea service.

Enjoy Garden Tea, a special experience inspired by the herbs, vegetables, and fruits that grow in the Villa authentically re-created first-century Roman gardens.

Feast on a Mediterranean-inspired menu of tea sandwiches, house-made scones, tea bread and a varied selection of teas. Tea is served in the Founders Room, an elegant space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Villa.

We do not host private events in the tea room. Do to the volume of business we do and the space we utilize for our Tea service, the largest party we can accommodate would be a party of 8 people we do not host baby showers, graduation parties, business luncheons, etc. Per Getty policy we are not allowed to make multiple reservations for one party or split parties into groups in our dining area. The Getty does have strict rules and regulations for group celebrations, we ask that all guests celebrating special occasions be mindful of others who are joining us for Tea and for security purposes, all wrapped packages are not permitted on museum grounds, also no special decorations are allowed on the tables.

The parking fee is not included in your Garden Tea reservation cost, each car or motorcycle will be charged $25.00 for parking. The museum opens at 10:00 am, no additional reservations are required, you can explore the museum before the tea service.

Really enjoyed tea service at the Getty Villa. Service was friendly and the tea and food were presented well and tasted yummy.

Food was average. I went to Getty Center first, comparing to that this was amazing. Tea was regular nothing special. Servers were great and museum was a bonus. The place had only about 9 tables, so not sure why both places have such a hype and hard reservation. They can accommodate more people. If it was a must to chose between Getty Center and Villa i would say ho to the Villa.

My friend and I had so much fun at this tea. It is a fun excuse to get dressed up and feel fancy for a couple of hours. The servers explained everything in detail and were very accommodating. I loved the scones and all of the teas we tried were tasty and unique! The tea tower was well presented and the sandwiches and desserts were delicious. We were stuffed by the time we left and they sent us off with some to go cups of iced tea and a chocolate dessert for each of us to take home. I also really enjoyed that we got to explore the villa itself after the tea! Made for a nice little jaunt to walk off how full we felt. Definitely worth the price and I will be going again when I am back in the area! They aren’t kidding when they say parking and security take a while though, so give yourself some time to get through that when you decide to book!

We had an excellent time! The staff were very friendly and very kind. One of our servers even brought us some extras to enjoy! The tea was great and the atmosphere was outstanding. We definitely will go there again.

The food served at the tea was beautiful and delicious. The wait staff was delightful. They help make our birthday experience delightful.

We were greeted by Beverly at exactly 1pm and were the second party to be seated. Our waitress was Patty and we seemed to be the only table she was assigned to. Jonathan appeared to be assisting everyone else. He did so with great enthusiasm consistently, providing information about the food, teas, and the Villa itself at every stop. He clearly went above and beyond and we often stopped him to inquire more as Patty merely dropped food off, gave a brief description and disappeared. She brought one pot of tea at her suggestion and never once asked if we wanted to try others. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco she never refilled our glasses although they were clearly empty. About halfway through tea she just seemed to disappear completely. We were able to flag down Beverly or Jonathan for assistance and were both wonderful but this felt wrong. It was not the same level of service other patrons received. At the end we expressed this to Beverly and she apologized. Since we did not have the opportunity to try other teas on the menu she gave us iced tea to go. Jonathan was really a shining star. While I don’t know that we would attend tea again at this location based on this experience, Jonathan shared information about other upcoming events at the Villa and really sold it. We agreed we would return to try those provided he was our waiter!

Incredible service! Loved everyone that helped us. Made the experience very pleasant. The savory tea sandwiches were delicious! The sweets were average. The teas were great as well!! Better than expected overall!

The service was stellar, the food was delicious, and the ambience was great! You’d be hard pressed to find a better afternoon tea in LA for this price ($76.50 including tax + 18% service charge). The celebratory tiramisu in the adorable chocolate tea cup was amazingly good and a very special touch — a work of art! Shoutout to our server Jonathan, who was SO funny, warm, and kind, and mentioned the Mexican hibiscus tea, which turned out to be our favorite! Truly, all the staff were incredibly attentive and warm and made our experience absolutely delightful. I will definitely be back!

Overall the experience was lovely and the ambiance was great. Our servers were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time. However, the days leading up to our reservation were annoying. I had to email and message Beverly and Efrain several times to get our parking reservation for entry and this took several days to fix. Beverly was absolutely no help, but Efrain was able to fix the situation. He however did not apologize for the mix up. They had sent the parking reservation to some unknown email and if I would have never asked about it I wouldn’t have ever received it.
