A unique dining experience. Wonderful food in a beautiful old property with a mix of classical and modern art and decor. Felt a special place to come and we will certainly be back!

A fantastic meal. All three courses were delicious & plenty of it. We couldn’t finish everything as we were too full but couldn’t fault a thing!

The food was as expected, having been recommended by my sister. Though some may feel the choice is limited, but the dishes have nowhere to hide. Each element was delightful and the combination of them took it to a new level. I enjoyed and savoured every mouthful, and will be returning, to relish the experience again.

My wife and i stayed here for2 nights . We thought the restaurant was spectacular with large pots displaying large leafed plants on the tables. The staff were extremely courteous and we did not ha ve to wait long for our choice of starter to arrive. at this point i must stress that the deal we were on gave us a limited choice on a set menu. This did in no way mean the standard of food was not of the highest quality. We ate three times in the restaurant and the food and service were top class each time.

No frills breakfast. Cheap sliced supermarket bread does not cut it for toast which arrived first. Coffee and porridge that arrived after were fine .

The dinner was included with staying at the hotel and was therefore a set menu with absolutely no frills. Being a vegetarian this meant no choice and was way below standard. My starter of humous was uninspiring just one taste, boring. The main course of gnocchi with chilli tomato sauce was absolutely dreadful , the chef must have dropped the salt pot in it , a congealed pile of stodgy overcooked gnocchi with a thin sauce with the chilli killing any other flavours squashed into a small bowl. My friend who is not vegetarian chose fish soup that was bland and fish that was totally dry. We did not risk a desert and ended up eating our own sandwiches in the room. The wine list is expensive with bottles starting at £40 which given the level of the food one is not tempted to fork out for. The service and presentation were charmless. Only the decor was good with the dining room full of really lovely urns with plants .
