Gara Kitchen - Relaxed dining in our new casual Gara Kitchen Restaurant - four legged friends welcome, reservations advisable.

From land to sea, we like to keep it local, wherever we can. Executive chef Paul Hegley delivers seasonal dishes featuring ingredients from near by producers and our own kitchen garden. A great view, fantastic service, comfortable surroundings, luxury without pretention at its best.

Really nice. We walked around the peninsula from the Salcombe ferry. Quite a challenging walk. Glad we booked as there were quite a few people that turned up without a booking. Club sandwich and egg mayo sandwich were excellent and the service was also excellent. Shame we couldn’t see the view from the restaurant.

Went to try there food as looking to book for a special occasion. I had the below Glazed smoked Devon bacon chop / St Ewes egg / pineapple / parsley & garlic fries / mustard mayonnaise £24 Portion was small, one Egg! Small portion of chips but they were coated in the parsley that made them soggy, so did not eat. My Wife had the Green Curry and it was very very hot. Shame as great location and the staff were nice, will not be returning - Service charge added to bill!

Atmosphere relaxed but staff were efficient and very pleasant. One of our diners would have liked her beef cooked a little more, too rare for her but overall dinner and value for 2 courses was really good.

This was our first visit for a lunch to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday: sadly the service was extremely poor both with drinks and food I would be in no rush to go back or currently would not recommend to friends or family . Unfortunately on the day our complaints were not dealt with particularly well , however I have since been contacted by the restaurant manager whom hopefully will discuss the issues with her staff and improve the experience for other diners

Absolutely amazing service from the lovely waitresses, couldn't do enough for us, also interacted with our little girl who loved the attention. The menu was spectacular the wine and cocktails were so refreshing also. We would definitely recommend the Gara rock for dining, the views are out of this world , next time we visit Devon we will definitely be booking to stay here and use all the facilities.

Had a lovely Caesar salad and fries. It’s a shame you can’t eat outside as it was a lovely evening. High quality food and service. A little overpriced but it is a beautiful hotel.

Lovely hotel and restaurant with sea views. There was a very limited menu and the special starter was sold out. The burrata starter was too much and would have been better as a sharer but very little else to choose from. It was quite expensive especially the wines. Great service though and the bread was divine.
