Not the expected experience. Pizzas & food are very tasteful BUT: My booking was at 20:00. It was asked to order quickly everything because the kitchen would close soon. A mistake in one of the pizza, 2 drinks on the bill instead of 1…, feeling very stressed to finish. The place is nice in Old Town and maybe I will give a second chance but will book earlier so i won’t feel stressed during my dinner.

The food is truly amazing! However, we had an 8 PM reservation. Fortunately, we arrived early as 10 minutes after sitting down, at 8 PM, the server came over to ask us our order and if we thought we might want anything else as the kitchen closes at 8 PM. I don’t understand why you would have an 8 PM reservation if the kitchen closes at 8 PM? Consequently, we were rushed to order which rushed the whole evening for us.

Awful food. No taste at all. My pesto pasta dish was overwhelmingly covered in basil. My partner got the rigatoni vodka dish and it was tasteless as well. Overall very disappointing.

Waited 23 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation and there being at least 3 tables open. The host didn’t want to put us at a four top table as we were a party of two. We finally went to leave and the host offered us a table inside and said he thought we just really wanted to be outside but had not offered us one of the open tables inside. Then he seated us inside and didn’t give us any menus. Our waitress was nice but they have had one bartender the past two Friday nights leading me to believe that this is their norm. Ordered a beer and an aperol spritz at our table and waited for 20 minutes for our drinks to come. The bartender makes great drinks but having one bartender to service the entire bar, restaurant, and patio is not practical. Our pizza came out about 5-10 minutes after our drinks finally arrived so we ate and got out of there.

Food was very good, appetizers and pizzas creative and tasty. $16 was minimum price for a glass of wine and overall price was excessive for a pizzeria.

The food was great but there were some areas where the service was lacking. When we sat down, the first thing that was said to us was “Do you want water?” What kind of question is that? Why would we not want water? We should have been greeted and then asked “would you like still, tap, or sparkling water?” That is service 101, especially on a hot Summer’s day. The other thing that should be improved is to be shown your itemized receipt before taking a card and putting it in to charge it. When I asked the server what the subtotal was, he gave me the wrong amount. I do not tip on the total including taxes, but on the subtotal. He, of course, quoted me the total including taxes so received extra tip.I will always ask next time so that there are no surprises. In terms of what we had to eat, we tried the fried pizza dough with Bolognese. I recommend those. We also had a burrata salad, which was all right. I think it needed more acid. I’m addition, we shared a Funghetti with normal crust and a Regina with gluten-free crust. I could not tell the difference difference between the crusts. The hype is real. This is the best gluten-free pizza in Chicago. I thought that the Regina had more flavour so I would recommend that pizza. We skipped on dessert because we were really full but are looking forward to trying the hazelnut cake. I hope that the kinks and service will be rectified next time because I did really enjoy the food.

Great atmosphere, great location. Had higher expectations for the pizza; however, the pasta was bomb.
