In the 1980’s, Pádraic Óg was the first to Flip & Fill a Pan Boxty and create this restaurant - The now famous Gallagher’s Boxty House, placing Boxty centre stage to showcase the best of Irish produce and renowned Irish hospitality in an ambiance reminiscent of an old Irish kitchen. I was disappointed in the food! Looked at reviews and felt the food did not meet our expectation’s ! $100 plus for 2 entrees and 3 beers!!!

Blue cheese boxty was excellent. Appreciated the small-sized beer option. Two "nibbles" for 8 euros = good deal.

I enjoyed the food and the location was great. The restaurant is located in the heart of Dublin (Temple Bar Square) and therefore easy to find. The inside was nice and rustic. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They were really fast- maybe even a bit too fast. We barely sat down and got asked what we want to drink almost immediately. As soon as we finished dinner they asked if we want any supper. But when we told them we need some more time they were very nice about it :)

Food was great, portions could have been slightly larger. Otherwise staff were lovely and engaging. Beer flight was lovely and the location perfect to explore the area around. Would recommend going back!

Great place to try some delicious Irish food. The oysters were so fresh. I got the gach rud. Make sure you have a big appetite & like potatoes haha we were there on American Thanksgiving so the special was roast turkey and they did an excellent job. Service was friendly and attentive. Casual dining with a cozy atmosphere . Loved it
