In the 1980’s, Pádraic Óg was the first to Flip & Fill a Pan Boxty and create this restaurant - The now famous Gallagher’s Boxty House, placing Boxty centre stage to showcase the best of Irish produce and renowned Irish hospitality in an ambiance reminiscent of an old Irish kitchen. The food, the service were all top shelf. It was our favorite meal on our visit to Dublin. Their meticulous care and attention to my partner’s one food allergy was brilliant and reassuring.

Honestly amazing place! A touch under staffed and messy - some small tweaks and it could be a world class venue.

It was an experience we wanted to try after seeing it on Somebody Feed Phil. The lamb was tasty and the fried chicken was moist. Really enjoyed the chowder. Mike was our waiter and he was really great to talk with.

This was my second visit and it more than lived up to my memories. Worth mentioning that I was traveling solo this time and was made to feel very welcome. Yes, every review mentions the Boxty Fries, so just trust us and order them. They're life changing. Had the Gaelic Boxty for a main, and the beef filet was delightfully tender and flavorful. Don't miss this Dublin institution.

We were treated so special. Our party of six became eight and they said ‘sure come on in. We will adjust.’ They did. We had the best time and our friends are still talking about it!
