In 1974, George and his wife Joan ventured out to what was then considered the country. They found the perfect location on the shores of Diamond Lake. A great deal has changed since then, but our commitment to service and great food hasn’t. We welcome you to visit and see what’s new. Nice atmosphere, servers and host were friendly. Value poor when a salad is $14 and cup of soup $10 and alacart in addition to the entree. Hard to justify a return visit.

Food was excellent. Chef was very accommodating on several changes I had requested. Menu was outstanding. Service was the absolute best. Overall, best experience

This was our second visit to the "new" Gale Street Inn. I wish more people knew about it, it's sort of off the beaten path. The prices are not low, but you get what you pay for. My husband got the prime rib both visits. It is not only delicious and was cooked perfectly, it was photo worthy. I should have taken one. We have tried several but have not had prime rib that good since Don Roth's left Wheeling's restaurant row. My filet mignon was melt in your mouth good. Great appetizers, salads, cocktails!

We went early and the restaurant was almost empty. That made it very quiet, which we all appreciated. Each couple split a salad and a full slab of ribs, and it was more than enough food. The ribs were very good and the wedge salad, was wonderful. There was no problem in splitting these abundant meals. The service was spot on.

This is a very nice restaurant that can compare with many of the excellent restaurants in downtown Chicago {which have much higher prices :) }. Staff is very helpful and engaging.

Food was excellent as was service. Very nice white table cloth place with beautiful view of the lake. It was expensive though.

We went to the Gale Street for our anniversary. Dinner is always great, and Mario is a very good waiter. I highly recommend you give it a try if you are in Mundelein.
