High quality really delicious food. Simple yet tasty. Beautiful interior, in central location. Prices are very good.

Dine around Freddy girls dinner and we were hoping to be awed but left dissappointed. Both appetizer selections Wellington and Brie very good but entrees were not great. Risotto was decent except that it was not hot and salmon was tasteless. Pasta was too garlicy, salty and overly peppered. The chocolate shot dessert was a hit but the biscotti very dry and tasteless. The coulis and pears were delightful though. Service was very good but meals were very slow.

Don’t go there for the food. Risotto was well over done. Portions were very large but not cooked to perfection. Plates at other table were deceiving as well. Burnt garlic bread. Will only go back for the beer.

Only place in town to enjoy fresh oysters, and well worth the trip. Seafood chowder get 9.5 out of ten.

Great ambiance and servers. Only downfall it took us over an hour to get our appetizer which was a set back. No one came over to tell us anything . The table next to us who got there after us and got their appetizers before us. Other then that it was nice

Our server seemed unhappy with us and was not very kind or didn’t care about us. They brought out one person from our tables food way before the rest of us (the other 4 of us) so he was half done before the rest of us got our food. The food was delicious keep in mind but the service was upsetting. It was also my birthday and we asked for a birthday dessert and she just brought it to us like nothing and didn’t ask anyone else if they wanted dessert. Also didn’t ask us how the mains were. THEN the same server for the table beside us she brings them out a birthday dessert WITH A CANDLE AND SAYS HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALL SMILEY. I’m not sure if our table did something but that service was just so upsetting especially on a birthday and seeing another birthday table right beside us be treated so differently.

I hate to say it, because I’ve liked Gahan for a long time, but over time the quality of the food has declined, as has the portion size. I had the short rib grilled cheese with roast potatoes, and both were overdone (a little crispy is expected - this was more than that) and bland. My friend had the steak sandwich and said the taste was ok, but he was still hungry afterward. The choice of seasonal beers is also very odd - it’s the dead of winter and 3 of 4 are light, fruity patio beers. The 4th, the beer beer, was good but certainly wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste. On a positive note, our server was very friendly and efficient. This contrasts with last week, when I popped in to get a growler and it took almost 10 minutes (no, it wasn’t busy).

I ordered the brown bag chicken and fries and thankfully the fries were tasty but the chicken was lacking in amount, size and flavour. The price per portion was extremely unreasonable. This was my second attempt after my first visit was unappealing to the taste buds and I was again disappointed.
