FYR represents the metaphorical hearth of downtown Columbus with the centerpiece of the kitchen being a wood-fired grill led by renowned Argentine chef, Sebastian La Rocca. Located within Hilton Columbus Downtown, the use of fire & smoke is incorporated into every dish to bring the historical ritual of cooking over an open flame tableside.                       We had the set menu for Valentine’s Day It was terrific The empanadas were the best we even had with slow cooked lamb and baked in the oven with char marks We loved the steak ; very tender and melts in your mouth The risotto had a smoky flavor and not very rich Everything tasted fantastic The chef came around and greeted everyone Which made it even more special They are having an Italian menu from the chef inheritance and what he used to have growing up next month Can not wait

                      Starters were excellent. Had the risotto which was too salty. When I didn’t eat much my server asked why. I told her it was salty. She immediately took it off our bill and offered to get me something else. Since we needed to leave to get to the theater on time I declined. She sent the manager over who offered the same. They couldn’t have been nicer or more proactive in making up for the issue. Much appreciated. My partner loved his entree. We will be back!

                      We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Fyr, and our server, Mykel, was great! The tartar was a delicious appetizer, and we loved the grilled Caesar salads with homemade croutons. My husband and I shared the Parrillada (all the meats!) and my son ordered the skirt steak, which he proclaimed was the best steak he’s ever had. It’s a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion! We will be back!

                      We have come several times to this restaurant and it is truly OUTSTANDING. From food to service and ambience this is the perfect place. Columbus needed this!

                      Amazing experience! The chef was amazing as was the service! We were blown away by the Ceviche, Flank Steak and Carrot’s.

                      We had an amazing time at FYR last night celebrating my father’s birthday. The atmosphere was warm, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. I ordered the New Zealand Grilled Lamb Shank with Greek yogurt cumin sauce and pickled red onion, and it was delicious—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We shared the Empanada Salteñas, which were outstanding. Chef La Rocca personally shared that the recipe comes from his great-grandmother, adding an authentic touch to the dish. They truly embodied the essence of traditional Argentine cuisine—recipes passed down through generations. Chef La Rocca took the time to visit our table, welcome us, and share his inspiration behind the menu. It was a thoughtful gesture that really shows his dedication and passion. FYR delivered an amazing dining experience. Incredible flavors, great hospitality, and a genuine connection to the food’s origins.

                      First time at FYR, amazing meal! One of the best meals we have had in Columbus. The flavors were amazing and each dish was perfect. Katherine R did a great job taking care of us! Everything was perfect and can’t wait to go back!!

                      This place is exquisite. The hosts are welcoming, the servers are helpful, and the chef is engaging and highly skilled. He took the time to visit with guests and offer recommendations. The food is absolutely fantastic. We ordered the skirt steak, wood fired tomato dish, smashed baby potato, and gnocchi souffle. The steak was top 3 in the best we've ever had, the souffle was flavorful and well balanced, the tomato dish was unique- with plenty to share, and the potato dish was crunchy and tender in all of the right ways. Also, definitely ask for the chimichurri as an accent to your dish- we love it. This is our second time here and so far everything we've tried is not only creative, but a delicious execution from the chef's background and palette. To top it off, the mocktails are also fantastic and well priced. Great atmosphere, staff, and food: 10/10 recommend.
