At Fukurou, you will enjoy an Omakase-style experience featuring a unique blend of local Hawaiian cuisine, Japanese Kaiseki, and a delicate touch of Mexican flare. Located inside of Buho Cocina y Cantina, we are tucked away incorporating a speak-easy aspect to our omakase.
Hours of operation: Tuesday - Friday
Seating Times (2 seatings per night): 5:30pm and 8:00pm
Price: $90 for a 12 course omakase (per person)
We validate parking for Waikiki Shopping Plaza lot. Please email fukurou@westmancorp.com for any questions.
*Reservations may be cancelled up to 2 days in advance. Within 48 hours of the reservation a cancellation fee will incur of $65 per person. *

Service was amazing, the concept is great! I’ve been to plenty of omakase’s in the past and this place just had very few nigiri courses and a lot of strange flavors and types of fish. The fish quality was also subpar for such a specialized restaurant. Though value was okay, dessert was the highlight! Halfway through the night, the music was so loud outside it overpowered the quiet omakase experience within the room.

While the price to dine is not inexpensive, I felt that the experience was well worth it. The chef was knowledgable and funny. The quality of the food was amazing. It was one of the best meals ever. The ambiance was intimate and I felt it made savoring the food much more enjoyable

What a delightful surprise! Dishes were imaginative and beautifully plated, served with a side of fun and friendly banter. Great deal on omakase!

Dining at Fukurou is a fabulous experience. The food, service and ambiance are all five stars. The two chefs were so warm, friendly and hilarious! Every course was beautifully designed and delicious. And the price was very reasonable for so many premium ingredients! We highly recommend this wonderful omakase experience!

Fukurou's omakase experience was just fantastic. The innovative presentations showed all the work the two young sushi chefs put into making the fabulous meal. It was also fun watching the preparations close up as the room is very intimate. Really worth the experience. The two girls from LA next to us were already making plans to return before their vacation ends!

The multi course sushi omakase was beautiful as each course was meticulously crafted with a nice balance of flavors. The quaint restaurant was intimate with only 10 seats which kept the ambiance soft and charming. I like how there were some variations in the courses, and not just sushi. The cold somen was refreshing and unexpected. The wagyu taco was incredible and the uni tostada was to die for! What made this restaurant special was the chef. She made sure everyone was comfortable and satisfied throughout the eating journey, and her humor brought everyone together. In my opinion, sushi omakases are always delicious but what I like about Fukurou is how reasonable the price is. For a 13 course menu, you would be hard pressed to find one under $100. This was my second time here and I look forward to returning soon!

An amazing dining experience, tucked in the back room of a rowdy restaurant. It was probably the best dining experience we’ve ever had whilst staying in the Hawaiian Islands. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and my compliments to the chef and her sous chef, it was worth every penny; and definitely worth continually refreshing my app to snag reservations. Will definitely return and hope to celebrate another night of exquisite dining and fine people we got to meet during our dinner. Mahalo.
