The singing servers were very loud and not good. It’s like they thought if they sang louder you wouldn’t notice they weren’t good. Begging for additional tips after performing was low. Food was great.

Nice place, good food and service, in a surprisingly elegant and grand setting. My only gripe is that since it’s in a hotel, you have to exit the restaurant and walk through a somewhat crowded and confusing area to get to the rest rooms.

The location is great for before theater and they have breakfast dishes which work well for early matinees. Service was excellent and the food came out promptly.

IF YOU ARE CELIAC OR GLUTEN INTOLERANT AND WANT TO HAVE A HEARTY BREAKFAST, LUNCH OR DINNER, PLEASE VISIT FRIEDMAN'S, YOU WON'T GO WRONG. EVERY TIME WE COME TO NEW YORK WE MAKE AT LEAST 2-3 TRIPS TO A FRIEDMAN'S AS THEY HAVE MORE THAN ONE IN THE AREA. THEY HAVE ONE IN THE THEATRE DISTRICT, ONE IN CHELSEA MARKET, AND A FEW OTHER WITHIN THE VICINITY. THE VALUE, THE AMBIENCE AND THE FOOD OVERALL ARE AN ADDED AMENITY AND YOU WON'T GO AWAY DISSATISFIED.

The open mic ruins the evening. You need to keep it at 50% of the sound level. Really unpleasant. I would not return.

Did not know there was going to be live music. Noise level prohibited conversation. Food was very good, but I would not return there.

The food was great, service on point, and the talent was overwhelming! didn't know we were getting a show with our dinner (before our show) but it was spectacular. Did not make for easy conversation at our table of 7, but we all really enjoyed ourselves. Also, having the gluten free options so abundant was amazing.
