We consider ourselves the gluten-free pioneers of NYC and our food is always delicious. Dinner at Friedman's consists of classics like Moms Famous Meatloaf, Pan-Seared Ginger Salmon and Chicken & Waffles. Waited over an hour for our dinner.. order was incorrect. Difficult to get the attention of anyone! Manager eventually came to our table and got our order out.. he took care of our dinner which we inhaled to make a show.

Our food and service were excellent. Last night they had singing waitresses which were very entertaining but the volume level was so high that I had to shout my order and could not talk to my wife.

What a way to have a meal before heading to a musical. The servers were great!!

The talent at the restaurant was unreal! I took visiting friends ( from Australia) to dinner there! They loved it! The food was good ( not amazing level) the inside area of restaurant was gorgeous- it was as loud as they warned us on texts alert but it still was great The 60 minutes allotted was a little short and rushed feel -that would be a complaint ( I understand why management would want that for maximizing profits with quick table turnover they can get five sets per dinner time- but and extra 15 mins or so would’ve been nicer too) this was 2nd time I took out of town visitors for the experience-the roses singing waitstaff is the key reason to go)

The food is terrible. It’s luck of the draw whether you can even see the performers sing. They claim they walk around but there were several times they did not even walk by or other servers were standing in front of our table watching their friends. If it’s busy season, you have a time limit of 60 minutes at the table. Get ready to feel rushed. I will say that the singers are very talented. But don’t waste your time or money. I much prefer Ellen’s stardust diner.

Wonderful performers.. loved my waiter.. my friend and I had a birthday today and they came to sing to us. Very busy place..!

The food and drinks were wonderful, but even better were the performances! What a fun way to enjoy a meal before a show! Can’t wait to go back!

Have eaten at Friedman's before, but don't recall the singers' voices being so loud. Really was too loud. Couldn't understand a word the announcer said. Music does not have to be loud to be enjoyed. Gigantic tuna sandwich more than enough for 2 people. Still worth going to Friedman's, esp before a show.
