What an absolute NIGHTMARE this dinner experience was. Had a great time last month at brunch, so booked dinner with friends visiting from out of town. The food and service were excellent. But even if one thinks that an entire evening of waiters singing show tunes is a good idea (note: it is NOT), for the love of God, why are these folks BELTING into MICROPHONES? You honestly CANNOT enjoy any music at that volume. It was torture. Not to mention impossible to have a dinner conversation. This was hands down the WORST DINNER EXPERIENCE I have ever had, anywhere in NYC. If you want to showcase your talent, which is a lovely idea, turn the volume WAY DOWN, and start it later at night. No one needs this at 5 pm, and no one can enjoy these talented singers at such a ridiculously loud volume. Will NEVER return to this Friedman’s location, at least not for dinner.

There was no indication on the website that this place had a singing waitstaff....it seemed that the singing took a backseat to the service ( many times I noticed the waitstaff crowded around the DJ , planning what to sing next!)....we ordered drinks to have beforehand but they didn't arrive until we were well into our main course because our waiter was entertaining the other customers!!!.... ....the food was serviceable...nothing great....but the biggest problem is all the noise from all the singing...impossible to carry on a conversation...we were heading to see a musical so the LAST thing we needed was more musicals!!! That being said, I can not recommend this place to anyone...!!!

The food and service are great, but the music noise level is extremely loud. What a shame! My friend and I gave up having a conversation, because we had to scream over the music. Even the singing waiters had to be super loud to be heard over the music noise level!

Great place for a lunch before the theater. I had an Asian Chicken salad and it was excellent. Prices were also reasonable.

The grain bowl with quinoa was excellent. Brussels sprouts were tasty too. Service was very good. Food came out super quick. Loud atmosphere but fun with singing servers.

Prices versus quality of food were not in line. Service was good, singing was cool, the location is very congested & very expensive area to find parking.
