A little about us & the culture that has been created… Friedmans is a family run business, which operates locations throughout New York City. Friedmans was named after the famous economist Milton Friedman who popularized the phrase, “there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch”. This phrase has gone on to be used in science, economics, finance, statistics, technology, sports, & now food. However, to put it simply, “to get one thing we like, we usually have to give up another thing we like.” Our mantra is simple, “Eat good food” and this is what we strive to deliver to our guests. For us, it has two meanings. Firstly, eat food that tastes good. Secondly, be proud of the food you serve. We know where our food comes from. We communicate regularly with our farmers and are proud to serve antibiotic free meats & local vegetables. Our mission is for you to love, respect, & enjoy, not only the food you serve, but also the team you work with.

I absolutely loved this restaurant. My son has celiac disease and the staff was very knowledgeable with gluten allergies. The meal was excellent. I can’t wait to go back!

We love going to Friedman's as a group from the office or when someone from another office is in town. They are always accommodating and have consistently quick service and delicious meals. This time there was a little hiccup with the food coming out all together but nothing to complain about. Always a great spot for lunch.

We order takeout from here often since it’s in our neighborhood, but went for a late lunch when family was visiting and it’s a perfect spot for an outing like this, especially if you have kids with you - there is an extensive menu + kids menu. We also love the American x Japanese hybrid menu - endless possibilities for meal choices. Service was great - friendly & attentive!

Service was just OK. Food didn't feel fresh enough and the portions are small and too expensive for their size. I had a much better experience couple of years ago. Ambiance was calm and nice and the place felt clean.

Really loved the restaurant. My son has celiac and there great food choices. The room was filled with light and open doors. We’ll definitely be back. Great space for a celebration!

Food was ok, but not great. For example, the mac and cheese was soupy, brussel sprouts were soggy, salad was overdressed. Our server was good and attentive however.
