A little about us & the culture that has been created… Friedmans is a family run business, which operates locations throughout New York City. Friedmans was named after the famous economist Milton Friedman who popularized the phrase, “there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch”. This phrase has gone on to be used in science, economics, finance, statistics, technology, sports, & now food. However, to put it simply, “to get one thing we like, we usually have to give up another thing we like.” Our mantra is simple, “Eat good food” and this is what we strive to deliver to our guests. For us, it has two meanings. Firstly, eat food that tastes good. Secondly, be proud of the food you serve. We know where our food comes from. We communicate regularly with our farmers and are proud to serve antibiotic free meats & local vegetables. Our mission is for you to love, respect, & enjoy, not only the food you serve, but also the team you work with.

Once again another great dinner at Friedmans visiting with family. The gluten free meatloaf is excellent!

Happy to get a booth after we made a reservation online. We always enjoy their Chili Soup (big enough to share) and this time we tried another special, chicken pot-stickers. Tasty! My friend had his usual salmon and I decided to try the chicken parmesan platter. Big portion, but not as tasty as I expected. I took half home and hope to doctor it up a bit!

Once again we had a delicious meal at Friedman’s. It has become one of our go-to restaurants whenever we visit NYC. Amazing choices for people who must follow a gluten free diet. And multiple locations. Thank you!

A neighborhood gem. We dined three different times this week alone and each time the meals were delicious, creative, cooked fresh, served beautifully. The number of gluten free choices is fantastic and I think people who don't even have a gluten allergy will find each dish perfectly delicious. Love, love this place!

Great service. Very welcoming. The food was good and you could modify to meet dietary needs. We didn’t feel rushed and our waiter offered great suggestions
