A little about us & the culture that has been created… Friedmans is a family run business, which operates locations throughout New York City. Friedmans was named after the famous economist Milton Friedman who popularized the phrase, “there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch”. This phrase has gone on to be used in science, economics, finance, statistics, technology, sports, & now food. However, to put it simply, “to get one thing we like, we usually have to give up another thing we like.” Our mantra is simple, “Eat good food” and this is what we strive to deliver to our guests. For us, it has two meanings. Firstly, eat food that tastes good. Secondly, be proud of the food you serve. We know where our food comes from. We communicate regularly with our farmers and are proud to serve antibiotic free meats & local vegetables. Our mission is for you to love, respect, & enjoy, not only the food you serve, but also the team you work with.

We only had apps, but everything was very good. We had wings, fried pickles and crispy rice sushi. All good. Reasonable prices & excellent service. Close to the Beacon so great for pre-concert snacks.

Always enjoy Friedman’s salmon and meatloaf. This time we shared turkey chili soup and even cheesecake for dessert. All were great! I just don’t understand why appetizer and main course akways come out at the same time. ANNOYING!

Friedman's is one of my go to restaurants and this time I asked for exactly what I wanted and it was delivered, perfectly! Also the waitstaff is always wonderful- they listen, they check in appropriately and are very personable

Our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Service is always friendly and food is always excellent. I 100% trust the gluten free options.

Fantastic! Our server was a sweetheart and the food was amazing. Felt very, very comfortable as someone with a gluten intolerance and was able to have fried calamari for the first time in years! I definitely think this is going to be my family’s new go-to spot!

I had one of the specials, a grilled peach mozzarella sandwich w/sweet potato fries. All GLUTEN FREE!!! Friedmans is very trustworthy for celiac folks.
