Welcome to Frida’s and Bonito Bar. We are one of the area's most seasoned healthy restaurants. We pride ourselves serving plant-forward pescatarian and Californian cuisine. We invite you for lunch or dinner with friends and loved ones. After ten years, we have over 30 accolades including Top 100 Restaurants in St. Louis, A-List Chef/Owner, A-List Restaurant, Best Vegetarian and Best Non-Beef Burger by St. Louis Magazine, Feast and RFT.

Our bar and cocktail lounge serves house and classic cocktails, low ABV and fresh mocktails. We also provide a late night snack menu. We are located in a quaint neighborhood setting in North Clayton / University City. Pet friendly / outdoor dining available. Bar is first come first serve.

We probably should not have eaten at a primarily Vegan restaurant. We like to eat healthy, but the portions were awful. My husband got a mushroom reuban that was like eating a sauerkraut sandwich. My beet salad had maybe 5 small beets. My daughter's salmon salad, was small piece of not very good salmon. We will not be going back.

We ate there for our anniversary. Quiet nice restaurant. Even if you aren't a fan of vegetable forward food. The drinks are the best around! They have a great little bar!

Everything was perfect. The service was amazing from the minute we stepped in. Food and drinks were SO good. Can’t wait to come back!

Honestly, I wanted to love this place; however, the service was out of control. There were 6 of us, got there at 5pm, only 3 other tables with 2 people at the bar and it took all of 20+ minutes to get our drinks every time. Husband ordered Sea Bass which did NOT taste like sea bass. Honestly it looked and tasted like any normal white fish. We couldn’t get another round of drinks, just frustrating for the money spent.

I was happy to see Frida’s get their menu straightened out. Last time I was there, their ahi tuna salad did not have any ahi tuna in it. I asked for some and was charged for both my salad and an ahi tuna salad. It was about $40 for lunch. I complained but I paid for it. This time, the ahi tuna salad contained a nice portion of filleted ahi tuna. I asked before ordering. But, a salad should come with a roll or two, imo. I asked for a roll and got a toasted slice of white bread and that was it. No butter, no oil. I want to love Frida’s but they’re not quite there yet.
