“Fresko” meaning “fresh” inspires our creation of seasonal menus made from locally sourced ingredients. Fresko makes natural food from the bounty of Iowa farms whenever possible. The culinary team prepares product from start to finish applying natural time honored techniques with care at every step. This enriches the flavorful and nutritious product we serve and benefits our community. Fresko believes we are what we eat and eating well means living well.

Fresko features a splendid assortment of original cocktails with a deep spirits menu and a beer program with sixteen beers on tap in addition to bottles and cans. Fresko's wine menu focuses on quality selections at a great value to our guests.

Showed up for my reservation @6:45pm. Was promptly greeted seated and served water. Waitress came and took our drinks and appetizers order. 15 minutes pass and other tables around are seated and we received our drinks, which mine was not how i ordered it. 15 minutes later those tables receive their food but we still don’t have our appetizers. So we order our food and 10 minutes later our appetizers show up looking soggy as the other tables are paying out their bills. Then while eating our appetizers our food shows up and they proceed to make room in our table and start setting our meals in front of us. Overall the experience was less than stellar.

This was our first time at Fresko, but we will be returning soon! I had the sensei roll, which was absolutely delicious. My husband raved about his roasted half chicken. The other couple with us loved their dinners as well. Our server was very professional but also very friendly. It was a great evening! We would highly recommend this restaurant!

One of their signature dishes, banana bread French toast with banana Foster sauce, no longer exists. The kitchen sent out pancakes with 8 slices of banana and no Foster sauce . Not offensive, but not the dish we ordered.

Celebrating a birthday. ALL of the food was amazing!! Tried a few appetizers recommended by our server. I had the Tiger Shrimp with risotto, my husband had the steak sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend and we will return when back in Des Moines.

Staff were all efficient. Our waitress was excellent sorry I forgot her name and I asked. Had nachos with short ribs which were delicious. I don’t know where the liquid came from but it made the chips on the bottom soggy. All in all a great experience

Amazing food, we had the wings to start, shrimp and grits/pork chop for entrees and the chefs special poppyseed lemon cake for dessert. We would highly recommend all of these dishes!

We were welcomed warmly when we arrived. We were seated promptly and served water right away. Our food was delicious and our server did an excellent job!! We had been at Fresko before and it continues to be one of our favorite places to eat. Thank you to the management, staff and chefs for making our dinner a truly wonderful experience!!
