Food was bland - each course very disappointing. Waiter was friendly but service marginal at best. Would never go back.

My server jason was phenomenal he was very attentive & kind i will be returning simply due to that, the food was also prepared wonderfully along with the beautiful ambience & scenery 10/10!

We are locals and frequent many of the Montclair restaurants. We hadn’t been to the restaurant since they reopened. We received a gift card from colleagues that we decided to use. After a not very good meal the bill came and we were informed that they would not honor our gift card. It was issued in September 2023. Apparently they don’t honor gift cards over a year old. There was no expiration dates on it or no information that said that. Also, for most of the time we had the gift card they were doing renovations and not open so we wouldn’t have even been able to use it. After the manager came over he said he would call the owner to see if they would accept it. They did eventually but made a big deal about. Needless to say we will not come back after being treated this way. There are so many other wonderful, delicious, and warmly welcoming restaurants in the area to go to. On another note ..after sharing our experience with my sister she told me that they would never go back there either as they had a bad experience with the owner as well..

Our waiter,Jay, is an outstanding waiter and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks! The food was excellent. The Caesar salad and snapper especially. But the noise was unbearable and took away from an otherwise excellent experience. The management should find a way to dampen the noise, perhaps with fabric such as fake decorative curtains on the walls next to the openings or a ceiling treatment to absorb some of the sound.

Food was bad but the server and host came over and comped two meals. The drinks were slow and wrong but they gave us 10% off the bill. I’ve been coming here for 6 years and I do enjoy it but it is always hit or miss. Service was exceptional but the food shouldn’t be where it was for the price

Overall the meal was great. It was the perfect spot for dinner before seeing a show at the Welmont. The stuffed peppers were an excellent appetizer. The gnocchi Cacio e Pepe were great. Texture was perfect.

I had the following from the specials menu: Fall Panetella salad and Roasted Chicken with farro. The salad was delicious with apples, endive, goat cheese with apple cider vinaigrette. I don’t like the bitter taste of endive but this combination was excellent. The chicken was crispy, tender and well seasoned. The farro and eggplant reduction made this dish extraordinary.
