Server was very abrupt when she advised my friend that the credit card had expired. She dropped it on the table and walked away. A better way to handle this would have been to quietly ask for another credit card. My friend, who I had just introduced to the restaurant, was embarrassed and will probably not return. The same server then came and told us we needed to leave immediately as they needed our table. One of the reasons our dinner took so long was the issue with the credit card. We waited a good ten minutes before she returned for another card. We go to the French Rotisserie about 3 times a month and bring new people almost every time. This was disappointing experience to say the least.

Excellent food, great service. A real gem! Best pate and chocolate mousse outside of France. Must visit.

The reservation was for 11.15 but I was advised on arrival that they don’t actually open until 11..30. Service was courteous and attentive. Food was French Provincial and good.

The place is charming, the food amazing! Our wait person was Heather and a true delight, very attentive. Nice portions and great presentation. Have been there before and this place does not disappoint… fine dining without the stiffness and high prices… make reservations

We’ve been coming to French Rotisserie for years - always enjoyed the great food and excellent evening service. They have a French man there who is a particularly skilled and considerate server. We decided to try it at lunch this season with their new all day menu. Big mistake! We had a busboy who STANK of perfume. I’ll never understand why restaurants don’t have a no perfume / cologne policy for staff who interact with the public. People with allergies to those chemicals feel sick when they smell it. Anyway, this busboy made a habit of leaning over the table and getting right into our faces to ask questions. It took a long time for the food to arrive, even though there were only 3 other tables occupied. When it did arrive, we noticed right away that the sandwiches were much smaller than the one served at dinner time a few weeks ago - despite the fact that the sandwiches are the same price at lunch or dinner. When I started eating my beef sandwich, I noticed right away that there was no cheese (was listed as having cheese). We thought it was an odd coincidence that our friend who ordered it at dinner a few weeks ago noticed that his had no cheese too. I decided to mention it to the server. The owner came over and said he heard that there was a problem with the sandwich. I told him there was no cheese in it. He insisted on having me show him the insides of both pieces of bread since apparently he didn’t believe me. He said “oh” and went away. There was no apology, no attempt to offer me another sandwich, no discount of even a few dollars on the bill. Then, to add insult to injury, the owner reported me to Open Table as not having honored my reservation. As I told Open Table, I informed him personally of the name and that we had a reservation. I want to clarify that we had no problems with the server that afternoon. He was efficient (assuming the food delay wasn’t caused by him) and professional.

We like this restaurant for a number of reasons: It is a beautiful restaurant and comfortable. The food is delicious. The service is just right. We had the lamb shank. Tender and full of flavor. We also had the braised beef and Gruyère sandwich. Delicious!

We arrived on time and were seated right away. The restaurant was very busy because of the holiday weekend and although we were brought water right away we had to flag down a waiter. He took our order but mentioned we weren't really in his section. Anyway, long story short we did get our drinks, but after an hour no food. My husband went to speak to the owner, and within 5 minutes our food arrived. Apparently our order got lost. I had mussels/frites and my husband had boeuf bourguignon. Both delicious! So because of the delay our meal was complimentary,. The right thing to do.... we will go back and try again, on a less busy day. The service needs another chance.
