French Quarter Bistro was opened in 2018 in the heart of Frenchtown by Ed and Amoi Foerstel due to their love of all cuisine, Cajun.

Creole is derived from the many cultures who have settled in New Orleans, including; French, Spanish, West African, Caribbean, German, Italian, and Irish. Cajun is derived from the French-speaking Acadians who settled in the bayous south of New Orleans. The influences of the French are the most prominent of both cuisines. Almost all of our Creole and Cajun dishes begin with a stock (poultry, beef, or seafood), trinity (onions, green bell peppers, celery), and a roux (blonde, brown, or dark), lending a unique flavor to our Gumbo and other dishes.

We invite you to come to taste our cuisine at French Quarter Bistro. We are not re-inventing Creole and Cajun cuisine, only sharpening it!

Headline: Good not great. It has a few N.O. dishes on offer and they are good. Ambience is fine -- dominated by a bar, which feels 'local' but is loud. Service is fine -- efficient enough but a little detached, not unlike most of the service quality one experiences in St. Thomas.

3rd or 4th time dining here. Has never disappointed. Food and service excellent. Miles was our server. Made us feel welcome. He was also very funny and efficient. Fried zucchini appetizer…WOW. Excellent entrees. Bread pudding for dessert was good but better in the past. We’ll be back…AGAIN.

This was our second time visiting the establishment. The food was good, but not as good as usual. I think they have new owners.

Received cold potatoes as well as someone else sitting at out table. Whoever does steaks needs some more training.

Authentic New Orleans style food with fresh fish. Kid friendly, convenient parking, good size portions. Casual dress was fine and reasonably priced

Fried zucchini straws were delicious and a huge portion for 4 easy. Short rib was very flavorful as was the grits. Definitely a good experience we will enjoy again in the future

Beautiful place. Have dined here a number of times and never been disappointed but last night was not the same. Except the food everything was perfect. The my wife and I ordered the snapper and salmon respectively. Snapper was chewy and the salmon very dry. The sauces were good. The most disappointing part was the brussel sprouts that came with my salmon. They were supposed to be sautéed but if you saw them they were actually burnt. Told our server about the same and few minutes later he brought out replacement but it was burnt too. We finished our meal and met the new owner on the way out and told him about our not so good meal. His explanation was there were new guys in the kitchen and maybe tired too. But he took our feedback and will inform the kitchen about the same. It was our anniversary dinner which was ruined. Will think twice before going the next time.

Great ambiance. Our server Lisa was amazing. Highly recommend this little gem. Super reasonably priced for excellent quality food. We live on island so this will be our new weekly spot.
