The Austrian owner has poured her heart and soul into creating an atmosphere that is best described in one German word: gemütlich. The carefully chosen artifacts & candlelight combine to make this the perfect place for a romantic rendezvous, intimate rehearsal dinner or wedding party. According to owner Karin Derly, "We envisioned this as a place for people to create happy, lasting memories." Food is excellent. I would skip the escargot as it’s not traditional garlic butter. The criminal crepe & Suzette is our favorite desert. Excellent service & perfect alpine experience!

Food and service were both excellent. However, toward the end of our meal, a woman (diner, staff or random stranger from off the street?) came into the restaurant and began screaming at the uniformed staff for several minutes. We couldn't tell why, but it certainly ruined an otherwise perfect meal. Then she left, and a few minutes later a policeman arrived, talked to staff for a bit and also left. We never got a real apology or explanation for this incident. I assume that it is not a regular occurrence, but was still a real mood-breaker.
