The Freedom Restaurant and Sushi has long been regarded in the region for the quality of its culinary experience. It truly was one of the best dinners I have had in a long time and the team was wonderful. They gave us great recommendations and knew the menu well. It is expensive but I would go back next time I am in the Bahamas. Dan

Lovely venue. Be sure to come early and visit the cliff bar and watch the sun go down over drinks before dinner.

The views will keep you coming back again and again. Absolutely beautiful. Excellent and interesting sushi menu. Friendly service overall. The general manager however was quite abrasive and unreceptive to pets on site, so leave them at home if you can. We were able to stay for lunch with our three dogs. The gorgeous view made up for his off putting attitude in the end…

The experience of making a reservation was challenging. You have to go to their website and look for the tab which leads to Open Table. They require 24 hours notice, even after we took the time to drive there and got held up by security. We had asked to call and see if they would take us as an exception, and were met with a slight attitude at our persistence. I understand protocols but it was off putting. The phone service did not work (multiple calls in attempts to get connected to make a reservation). Finally we were able. The process getting into the restaurant requires a call from security to the restaurant to confirm your reservation. It just simply was not warm. The resort and ambience of the restaurant was impeccable. Pristine and gorgeous. The sushi was delicious, as well as the cocktails. I ordered two separate drinks which they were out of. The server didn’t know, and came back to me for a third time and offered me another selection. By that time, I no longer desired a second cocktail as too much time had passed and I needed to ask him for the cocktail list each time I found out they did not have the necessary ingredients to make the beverage. The serve should know before the evening which ingredients were unavailable. The main course, snapper and I believe Mahi for my husband was nicely done. Smaller portions and sides a la carte. The rice was lightly fragranced but could have been seasoned a little more. Definitely the most bougie restaurant on Eleuthera. We may return. I hope that they refine their processes for the convenience of guests not staying on resort.

Had such a good dinner experience, drove back to Freedom for breakfast a couple days later and it did not disappoint. Do not pass on the chocolate croissant, get it even if you are full!!!

We were eight guests and had a wonderful dinner. Service was wonderful. The manager came over and spoke to us, which was very nice.
