Everything about our visit to Fred's was perfect. From the attentive manager to our waiter Raul, the service was impeccable. The food was great and they were very accommodating of daughters' gluten allergy.

We had high expectations based on reviews but were left a bit disappointed. For the price, the food did not meet expectations. Most dishes came out cool. The standout was the grilled Branzino. Our server Dennis was good but he was busy running throughout. The atmosphere on the outside patio under the gazebo was private and quiet. It was a nice setting. I had requested to celebrate a birthday in advance but our server was not informed so we had to request this at the end of the meal. Overall not worth the price in our experience.

over priced with terrible coconut nut deserts that they have sitting on a little palm tree and walk around proudly with it lol the trio plates of seafood are 235$ each. the cocktails taste great, but lack simple thing like cherries on top or pineapple on piña colada. 6/10 is my rating!

Music was very loud, food was cold and tasteless. Was very rushed from the time we sat down and it was do dark we couldn't see the menu Server was ok. The drink was the best thing.

Smelled horrible - it was not the ocean it was pure sewer. Food was meh, not worth the price and the service was none existent. Saw the waitress once, other than that it was a rotating crew of people who felt the need to endlessly change plates and silverware even though our food had not even come out. Wife had the salmon, not sure it was salmon… again meh.

Great service, view and delicious food. Restaurant is on the water which gives you a great sunset view. Lucky enough we got to see an alligator while sitting outside. Great vino listing but on the higher price range. Menu has a great variety of options. We tried the fish and coconut ceviche each had their own unique flavors. My favorite was the tempura tuna and it came with a yummy spicy sauce and was mouth watering. Salmon tacos were good as well. Dessert was the tsunami tiramisu which was presented in a unique style. It was yum. Service was exceptional, we were greeted by David at the front desk who was professional and friendly. Through out dinner the managers came and checked on us which made the dinning experience great.

Part of the same restaurant group as Harry’s, Fred’s offers fairly decent American style seafood. For some reason the night we dined here, it was impossible to sit outside because of a horrible, putrid smell. Nonetheless, the inside was quite pleasant. We enjoyed a variety of dishes including the catch of the day (whole grouper) which was reasonably tasty and the coconut shrimp which came with a table side fire presentation. The tiramisu was the best of the three desserts we tried. I give this restaurant a solid 3 1/2 stars. I don’t think I would dine here again unless someone else was paying. Fred’s is definitely better than most of what is available in the Cancun hotel zone, it’s just not my preferred style of seafood.

Overall experience was good. Great service. If you go don’t order Alaskan crab, it was very chewy, not enough of it and way overpriced. Other dishes that fam had were excellent.

Everything was amazing! The food, service and ambience were top-notch! We started out with the shrimp tacos, and fry calamari, which were delicious. My son had the fresh grouper, his girlfriend had the salmon, and I had the crunchy shrimp all of which were amazing. The crunchy shrimp sauce was flambéed table side which was pretty cool to say. The weight staff was amazing. Every time you get up, they fold your napkin, pull out your chair, push your chair back! Little things that go along way when you’re at a nice restaurant on vacation. They even gave us a complementary glass of Prosecco. I thought the prices were good for the quality of food that you get and portions were really good!
