Frank’s Outback has 45 seats inside the building and interestingly, the patrons get to walk through the open kitchen to enter the dining room. Once inside, you sense a warm welcoming atmosphere. The walls are painted in a cool blue with original artwork on the walls. White tablecloths, candle light, hand polished silverware and glassware grace the tables. There are also 100 seats outside, set in a garden setting under a canopy of trees. The outdoor seats are covered and not affected by weather. In the Fall and Winter guests are warmed by infrared heaters and the large outdoor fireplace.

The food and service were excellent but it was a little warm in the tent and all the servers were sweating when they delivered the food and drinks they need to cool down the place they had to keep the sweat off of them so that it would not get on the food

Frank’s is one of my “go to” places to dine. The food is always delicious and the servers are so friendly and attentive.

Great longtime restaurant, with large menu. Service has slipped a little bit. Food was prepared well, quality was mostly good.

The food is always exemplar. The heat was unbearable the night we went and we were put at a table where the sun was coming through at the side of the fireplace with the fans all directed away from us. It was extremely uncomfortable and we rushed through dinner to get out of there. No more summer nights dining outdoors for us. We will be back for inside dining when it is hot and then enjoy the outdoors during the fall and spring.

HUGE - expensive - disappointment. We’ve been eating at Frank’s for more than 30 years (a big deal meal every other year during family beach vacation). Our most recent outing with 7 of us (to the tune of $600+) was a huge disappointment because of the food. While it was ‘okay’, the quality was not what it once was. The appetizers, including ‘special calamari’ was the same you could expect from a chain restaurant. Entrees: Crabcake was very ‘meh’, almost flavorless; duck was okay but looked like it was thrown on the plate and the veggies were not good and went uneaten. The steaks were mediocre. Even the 'specialty' fish dishes were okay, but nothing special about them. None of the plating was attractive—very thrown together. Salad looked it had been dumped on plate; caesar salad was all hard stems. We’ve looked forward to going to Frank’s for decades, but I’m afraid no more. 😒 I recently recommended Frank's to some friends visiting Pawley’s in September; I will be rescinding that recommendation when I get home. Really too bad that a once great restaurant has fallen so far.

Loved everything about our experience out Franks Outback. It was our anniversary. Everything was special, from the waitress to our table. We enjoyed the food and our Key lime cheese cake was delicious.
