We had a lovely meal for 2 on a Thursday night. Excellent choice of fish dishes and lovely salads and veg. Franks was full ( we were the last table in at 8.30) and yet the noise was very moderate, no shouting at each other and such a delight after some local restaurants where the noise levels are difficult to tolerate.

We always have a lovely time at Franks. The menu changes often and it is always something different than what you can find in most restaurants and it never disappoints. The staff members are friendly and the environment is cozy.

First time at Franks Canteen and we loved it! Such a cute place and the food was fabulous. Every dish was delicious. The service was really friendly and they made us feel totally at ease, even when we were late for our booking. The only fault I could find was that we didn’t receive one dish we ordered and were brought one wrong dish and had to ask for the bill twice but we had such a great time, it didn’t matter in the slightest! Top marks - a perfect date night restaurant!

…lively place to eat. Great food at sensible prices! The place was full and with only one person serving there was a bit of a wait before order taken but after that all was fine, perhaps a server’s “assistant” would help? Overall, really good and guess it must be to our liking because we’ve visited Franks a few times recently!

we love an evening at Franks. went for my birthday on this visit. waitress is fabulous, and we loved her music choice. the food is always varied and tasty and they make a mean negroni
