Everything was perfect. The eggplant and the lamb shank were excellent and service was fantastic.

It’s a great place to go to if you’re in Downtown Brooklyn. The food is unbelievably great. You walk in and you think it’s small but the outside seating area in the back is a great place to dine when it’s nice outside. I’ll definitely be going back and highly recommend to go.

The interior space is not big and it’s pretty tight seating ( cramped is the word ) It was also way too dark to read the limited menu ( I like to see what I’m eating ) We had the ricotta/honey crostini which was good ( the ricotta was whipped and light - recommended) Short rib with polenta and vegetables - the short rib was good but hardly any polenta and only 1 carrot was found - good but cheap with the polenta and veggies and we had the sweet potato ravioli in broth ( the ravioli has some kind of spice that was a little off putting and the broth was bland - not recommended ) They charge for bread and oil which to me is ridiculous no matter where you eat... Overall, the amount of food given is on the small side for the prices and the the food was good.

Ordered 3 salads and they took over 20 min. Granted the kitchen is a postage stamp, but salads are generally easier to prep no? Food solid, drinks good. Ambiance lovely.

Such a lunch experience in the garden once again. My friend and I shared two sandwiches, the proscuitto and pecorino and the eggplant marinara. Both were superb. The chocolate tarte with clearly homemade whipped cream was the best. Iced decaf and homemade lemonade on this warm November afternoon topped it all off well. Our server, Stephen, was helpful and lovely.

Favorite restaurant. We live down the street and are there often. Spent the last two birthdays there.

First time at Frankie’s for my partner’s birthday. Vibes were great, low lighting and intimate. Pretty loud, hard to hear each other. Overall, had a great experience despite short rib coming out cold and forgetting to place a candle in our crème brûlée. However, the waitress more than made up for it by comping the short rib and bringing another dessert with a candle. The attention to detail was lacking on the front end, but the waitress rectified it at the end and because of that, we will happily come back. Portions were also appropriate for price, especially in this day and age when everything feels small and expensive. Really charming. A classic for a reason.
