A walk through the doors into the fabulous Frankie Bones Restaurant & Lounge takes you back to the carefree style of the early 1960s and t's restaurants in the big cities across America. Frankie Bones serves coveted American-Italian cuisine seven days a week and is located next to WiseGuys on Main Street on Hilton Head Island and off Buckwalter Parkway in Bluffton. Lunch at Frankie Bones is about signature sandwiches, homemade soups, fresh seafood, crisp flatbreads, entrée salads, and premium pasta dishes. Always fresh and always fabulous! Served from 11 AM until 4 PM, Monday through Saturday, Frankie Bones is the perfect atmosphere for a business or family lunch.

I would recommend Frankie Bones. I do suggest that you have a gluten free menu to include entrees that are not just salads.

Go to FB often. Always good food and service. Had terrible service this past trip. As always the Manager is going to tables to make sure everything was as expected, told him our experience and he immediately fixed the situation. Now that is a great restaurant.

Steak over cooked and had no flavor. Hubby and I decided we don't need to return there with there being so many good restaurants in the Bluffton/Hilton Head area.

Usually FB is wonderful. But last night was horrible. Wouldn't switch our group to a table, even thogh many were available. No silverware provided, and when we asked our waitress, she forgot twice. She didn't listen to us as we placed the order, so the appetizers came after the salads, and one was missing so it came with the meal. Drinks were not refilled. Steak was over-cooked. And finally, a dessert that is described as a la mode came plain with no ice cream. When we asked her about it, she said it was only by request. The menu describes it with ice cream. If we go again, I guess we will have to put in the Open Table request that we need a table due to a handicap issue. And we will have to request ice cream.

We love Frankie Bones on HHI, but this was our first time at the Bluffton location. It was a very disappointing experience. We had a reservation through Open Table where I indicated we were celebrating a birthday. The server tried to be attentive, but he was working too many tables. We ordered the special appetizer of the day-a stuffed local banana pepper stuffed with cheese and sausage and served with a tomato sauce. The pepper was still raw and was difficult to cut. The cheese wasn’t evenly distributed in the pepper and there wasn’t enough sauce on the pepper. Our glasses of iced tea stayed frequently empty until the server ran by between interactions with other tables. The server was so distracted, he asked our table if we had made an ordering decision the same time a co-worker brought our entrees. Entrees were good, but the noise and frequent parade of new diners and our server walking back and forth made the experience lacking. Finally, he asked if we wanted dessert without mentioning the birthday. My wife excised herself from the table and I told the server he missed the birthday note on the reservation. His reply was “no one told me”. I suggest skipping this location and visiting the one in HHI for a better experience.
