A walk through the doors into the fabulous Frankie Bones Restaurant & Lounge takes you back to the carefree style of the early 1960s and t's restaurants in the big cities across America. Frankie Bones serves coveted American-Italian cuisine seven days a week and is located next to WiseGuys on Main Street on Hilton Head Island and off Buckwalter Parkway in Bluffton. Lunch at Frankie Bones is about signature sandwiches, homemade soups, fresh seafood, crisp flatbreads, entrée salads, and premium pasta dishes. Always fresh and always fabulous! Served from 11 AM until 4 PM, Monday through Saturday, Frankie Bones is the perfect atmosphere for a business or family lunch.

I made reservations for four it said there was no high tops available, which was fine with me so I thought we could get a booth instead they put us in a big room over to the left and there was a family reunion there and they were very very noisy We could even we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk half the time so I got up and asked if we could be moved and the girls weren’t too happy that I asked for us to be moved. I asked for a booth which there was about six or seven that were empty and I said I would like a booth and she said they’re all booked up, I don’t remember seeing anything specifically saying reserve a booth I assumed because high tops were full. It was said the same thing for the boost so they I felt they didn’t treat us very well, but our waiter was excellent.

I had never been to Frankie Bones for Brunch. It was delicious. You can order off menu or do a buffet. Found it to be reasonably priced too.

Our waiter Dakota was excellent. He was attentive and extremely personable. My prime rib was very good my wife’s lobster was extremely tasty just slightly tough.

The place was clean which is always fantastic. The food was very disappointing though, the fried mozzarella had a flavor of rancid grease and was inedible. The caprese and meatballs were awesome but then dinner came and it was not good at all. The cannelloni was made with sweet crepes instead of cannelloni noodles and covered in cheddar cheese which was ridiculously bizarre. Two people ordered the signature 16oz steak which turned out to be 3oz of semi edible steak and 13 oz of fat and gristle. Although they were the same exact steaks, one was covered in some sort of A1 or Worcestershire sauce. Not sure what it was. The waitress seemed stressed alright she was pleasant. The table next to us had all their meals taken away when they stood up to greet some friends they saw in the restaurant. They didn't see the busser clearing away all their food behind them. She saw we had plates of food still and decided to just ask us if we wanted dessert and then gave us the check. We figured since they messed up their signature steak so badly we really didn't want to try anything else.

We made reservations for Frankie Bones in Bluffton based on the excellent reviews. We sat outside and while it was very warm there were fans and the patio is covered. Our server was not the greatest - very slow and had to ask for refills several times. Food was great which made up for the not so great service. Highly recommend the twice baked potato spring rolls and the schnitzel.

The service was good but the fried ravioli appetizer was overcooked. The manager did take it off the bill. The dish we had could have had more pasta in it. Overall it was an average experience.
