Mia Francesca features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. It was one of the first restaurants in Chicago to encourage the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, simple, rustic cooking, friendly service, and fair prices.

Waiting for a table at the beautiful antique bar is part of the charm of Mia Francesca. The plush upstairs dining room and lounge can be reserved for private events, as can the more intimate coach house tucked away behind the restaurant. In the summer, al fresco dining is also available on a charming cobblestone terrace.

We had a delicious lunch. Jeff, our server was terrific. He was attentive and efficient. Portions were huge and we were able to take leftovers home. We will definitely be back.

Great experience from the minute you walk in the door: Warm greetings from the hostess, excellent service from our server, Kevin, Rene, who works magic at the bar, & bus staff were so attentive. A very nice wine menu, delicious meal: definitely recommend the Roasted Beets, Rolli Alla Francesca; everything we had was wonderful. Perfect evening; keep doing what you are doing!

This was our first time at this location. The food was pretty good but the service was not great. They seemed to ignore us. My husband had to go up to the bar to pay the bill because no one was coming by our table and we couldn’t flag anyone down. And when I went to the host stand to get our coats from the coat check no one was there and the server who came to take out coat ticket was a little nasty. We probably won’t be going back.

This was our first time at this location and I thought food and service was excellent. Our waiter was great and everything we ordered was very good. Some of us had pasta and others chicken dishes and they all were very tasty. We will definitely be back.

Our second visit to the restaurant in the last two months. Tried different appetizer and entree this time. Just as delicious as what we had on our first visit. Quality and taste of the food is excellent!

Everything was amazing however it was a birthday celebration and although we ordered a dessert a candle or acknowledgment would of been nice. Not recommended for a birthday but will definitely return for dinner. 1st visit at this location, overhead parking was a plus since it was snowing.

So pleased to be reminded of all the good times our friends and family had at Francesca's on Bryn Mawr -- this new Francesca's in Lincolnwood has many of our favorite dishes from Bryn Mawr, together with really outstanding service. Very good Italian food, with enough non-pasta options to please everyone. Special favorites are their lentils and spinach appetizer and their profiteroles for dessert. Caution: It's cold in the diningroom, so wear a sweat or jacket, and parking is tricky, and leave extra time. Enjoy.
