Mia Francesca features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. It was one of the first restaurants in Chicago to encourage the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, simple, rustic cooking, friendly service, and fair prices.

Waiting for a table at the beautiful antique bar is part of the charm of Mia Francesca. The plush upstairs dining room and lounge can be reserved for private events, as can the more intimate coach house tucked away behind the restaurant. In the summer, al fresco dining is also available on a charming cobblestone terrace.

What a pleasure to find a restaurant with so many positives when you have decided you want an extraordinary evening out and not “breaking” the charge card. The staff were attentive to always filling water glasses, or bread(no charge)., and splitting all our dishes at night/c. The manager, Stosh came over multiple times to check in on our meal and ask if everything was good. The prices on appetizers, entrees and wine by the glass were ample and enough to take home. Francesco’s delivers on all cylinders.

Great vibe. Wonderful staff and service. Unfortunately everyone at our table that ordered pasta found it incredibly dry and over-cooked. We will write off the experience given that the kitchen was overwhelmed that evening. We will definitely give it another try. Too many other reasons not too.

2nd time here. Really enjoyed both times. The menu changed from the last time but was just as delicious. We started off with the Calamari, which was lightly battered and was just great. I followed up with Shrimp & Scallops Scampi which was done in a very nice red sauce. My wife had the Lemon chicken and the other couple both had the Bolognese. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The only thing that was a little disappointing was dessert. We ordered the Profiteroles, which had ice cream in the middle. The Profiteroles were just too bready. Service was very good.

We sat toward the back of the restaurant at the window and the noise level was perfect. I will ask to sit there every time. We dined with Chef Martin and you employees made our dinner an amazing experience.

Food and service were excellent. The only “complaint” is that the restaurant wasn’t crowded but we were seated next to a full table of loud individuals. We should have asked to be moved but the staff shouldn’t have seared us there.

Our long time favorite restaurant, Francesca's Bryn Mawr, closed during the pandemic. How excited we were to see a new location open in Lincolnwood! We ate there last night for our son's birthday - same great and delicious Italian menu, same great ambiance and they even got an employee to come sing Happy Birthday to him - in Italian which pleased my wife who is an Italian professor! Top notch.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. The waiter was very attentive, always engaging us in conversation. The food was outstanding. We had burrata for an appetizer and asparagus with blue cheese for salad selection. We also enjoyed Milanese chicken special and lemon chicken. The entre portions were so huge that we brought half home. We met a couple next to us who were celebrating their anniversary, as well. We had a great evening overall.

We loved it from start to finish! Our server, Jeff, was excellent as was the rest of the team. Glad to have a Mia Francesca near me.
