Foxtown Brewing is steeped in tradition and driven by a passion for great beer. Once the Opitz Zimmerman Brewery in the mid-1800s, Foxtown is a reclamation of Mequon history. We’re not the biggest brewery around, nor the flashiest, but you’ll see that we take brewing very seriously. Every ingredient in every recipe is backed by reason. Our beer is good on purpose.

We had a great dinner tonight. Our table was against the wall which allowed the 6 of us to be able to talk comfortably. Most of us had the fish fry which we really enjoyed. The sweet potato fries were delicious, too!

The atmosphere and our waitress was outstanding, however our food was very bland and not seasoned well. We had the buffalo cauliflower, although the cauliflower was cooked well, there was no buffalo sauce. I also had the blackened salmon, again, it wasn’t bad but no spice, no flavor at all. Also no flavor on the pico..mainly tomatoes and onions so not really a pico. We come back because of the proximity to home and atmosphere, along with great service. But please season the food!

Noah was an exceptional server! When I inquired about renting the Annex for a party, he went out of his way to write down the new contact for the facility. Throughout the meal, he was attentive, not intrusive, and we felt welcomed. Definitely will go back. The atmosphere in Foxtown is definitely better than St. Paul’s across the street. You can hear each other talk and you have a choice of tables. Better value too.
