Overall, the food and service were very good. Very typical North American food, burgers and wraps but quite good. The ambience is quite nice, but very noisy music so not good for normal conversations.

Enjoyed the food and drinks. Felt bad for the servers because there seemed to be some disorganization and it was so busy that they took a very long time to get back to our table. We were there late at night, but the music was way too loud for a dine in restaurant. I understand needing to compete with all the other clubs and bars along King St, but it doesn’t make sense to have music that loud in areas where everyone is seated and trying to have conversations with each other. There were moments where it was so loud that it was causing discomfort (felt like passing out).

The food isn’t great but the location and patio are good and close to Princess of Wales theatre which is really convenient. I didn’t realize Fox on John is a Fox and Fiddle until I arrived. The food was below fast food quality (I got the specialty chicken burger and fries) so maybe it’s the kind of place you stick with wings or go for brunch. I am surprised a pub has terrible fries and I’m generally confused about the high rating.

Food: Nothing spectacular. I don't think my eggrolls were made in house. Dining companion liked his eggs benedict. Service: Slow to get service at first. Mimosa never came until we asked for it again, well after the food had arrived. Servers kept trying to take plates that weren't empty. Multiple people looking after the table...confusing. Noise: Absolutely unacceptable. This is the reason I will not likely go back. we couldn't even hear each other and we were sitting beside each other, not across. We were going to have dessert and further mimosa but the noise was such that we went somewhere else.

I was really impressed with how they got our order out in no time - given that we arrived 25 minutes late (TTC issues) and were off to the theatre after. Well done!!

Made us sit outside in the rain after specifically booking inside. Told me no tables available inside. Then why do we even bother making a reservation?

Took 40min to get a drink. No offer of refills. Over 1hr to get food. Lobster bake was not good. Soupy at the bottom. Cheese went spongy. Fish was not cooked evenly in the fish and chips and appears to be minced, not filets. The coleslaw that came with the fish and chips was discoloured from being under the heat lamp. Fries were cold. Asked for Vinegar and never did get it. Atmosphere and music was way too loud. Tons of staff working, but very poor service. Pasta meal was comped for us. But we would definitely not go back. :(. Very disappointed for the money we spent.
