We had a lovely brunch at Fox On John during Tiff 2024. Was able to reserve a table on their large & lushly decorated patio. We had the steak with truffle fries & Phat fried rice, came in good time, and was hot & tasty. Only minor deductions for a somewhat uneven cook on the steak and smallish cocktails. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

It was advertised that the Friday special was $15 fish and chips. However, when the bill came, the full price was charged. After staff tried to correct it, I was told that it wasn’t offered that day. It may have been because it’s during TIFF but this still amounts to false advertising as there are no caveats on the menus posted on Open Table or their website.

This is a great option in the entertainment district. Daily specials should be checked out for $ savings. I'm not sure if this restaurant becomes a club all the time at night. We ate at 7:30 and the DJ was already playing good but loud music ( not club level loud, just loud for a restaurant.) The kitchen stays open until 4 am- not sure if this is a regular occurrence or just during TIFF. Food quality was above average.

Great food, service was excellent, amazing magician entertained our table. Only complaint would be the 20% that is automatically added for a party of 6. (Not exactly a large group so seemed a bit much).

We chose Fox because it was so close to our TIFF stops and the menu was very extensive.it did not disappoint and was very delicious! The one thing I felt though is that we felt a bit rushed. Otherwise, awesome!
