The Fox Inn Chaddesley Corbett is a cosy, family run pub serving up fresh, local and delicious food not far from Kidderminster. Located on Bromsgrove Road, this charming pub and restaurant is a local favourite for very good reason, offering a selection of real ales, beer and wine alongside its extensive menu. The perfect choice for a relaxed meal with the whole family, a long lunch with your best pals or a few drinks after work, we’re quite sure that after you visit The Fox Inn once it’s will become your new favourite pub. Situated only a 20 minute drive out of Kidderminster, we can’t recommend a reservation at this friendly spot more.

The roast dinner was very nice, the dessert (waffle) just basic nothing special. The service was awful, took ages to get a drink and we were the only ones at the bar and then an hour for our toasted waffles to be put down on our table despite asking the staff twice where our dessert was and the restaurants being practically empty. We knew that they had forgotten as when they we given to us the ice cream was half melted and was basically a soup which suggests they had just been sat on the side. I feel the food is slightly over priced for what is offered to you although the dessert is free I guess you could say it is paid in the cost you pay for the roast. The drinks also tasted flat but I wasn’t sure until someone from another table mentioned it too. We wanted to try somewhere new however we won’t be rushing back for a roast here.

The pub is gorgeous. The staff are friendly. The food is very good. Pricing good. But we have been twice now and the meal is a 2 course, which is good but as you’ve paid for 2nd course, the first first time we waited for dessert, we waited an hour and a half even though we kept asking. This time we waited an hour for dessert. Two other tables adjacent to us waited nearly 2 hours for theirs. The wife asked twice and when it eventually came it was missing bits. We always tip, my wife or I but today felt it was thrown our way to complete our order. The one table next to ours even made a complaint to the actual manager and theirs then came to them within 5 minutes. It’s truly a shame this final part lets it down!! There should be an option to opt for a part refund or to be served efficiently or for them to offer what’s on their menus.

Great tasting food from the carvery and the gentleman serving the meat was very pleasant and helpful, informing us that we needed to purchase a ticket for the the carvery from the bar (we weren’t told about this by the waiting staff). The restaurant was full, which is to be anticipated on a Sunday, but unfortunately the service was disappointing. We left without a dessert and noticed another table had asked to order desserts but left as no-one came to take the order. The waiting staff were very busy so perhaps more staff would help improve the overall service.

We visit the Fox quite often and the carvery is fantastic. However, due to the success they have achieved with their carvery, they are now failing on service. With our visit today, we yet again ended up leaving with no desert due to the time we had to wait for it. This is the second time this has happened which leaves you a little disappointed. When purchasing a carvery (£17.95) it comes with a free desert, but the last two occasions we have failed to have this due to it not being provided, even after waiting over 40 minutes and even after politely asking several times when it would be provided. Fox can i suggest either reducing the price of the carvery or get more staff to provide an adequate service. Will try once more at the Fox but should we experience this level of poor service again, we will source an alternative carvery elsewhere and let others know to do the same.

Love a visit to The Fox. Food is fab and great value for money with 3 courses for £12.95. For those that don’t want carvery other menu items are available! Can’t wait to go again!

Sadly they were short staffed in kitchen. Food was luke warm, with exception of roast potatoes that arrived after we started our meals. Beef dry, not much gravy, 2 of 4 sauces were empty. Shame, because it had the potential to be a lovely meal. Perhaps we were unlucky on the night we visited.
