Four Bricks by La Crosta is a rustic Italian Steakhouse located in a historic part of Uptown Whittier. The location was named Four Bricks for the first brick buildings built at the turn of the century when the city was established.
We pride ourselves on making fresh handmade pastas, serving highest quality prime steaks, and seasonal Italian creations.

Chef Jason Raiola started his culinary career in 2007 and has worked throughout Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. A love for Neapolitan Pizza led him to start La Crosta Wood Fired Pizza in 2019 with his wife Heather and is proof of his love for fresh Italian ingredients.

Four Bricks by La Crosta is a husband and wife team, a family venture, a place to enjoy great food with family, friends , and community.

Driving through town and looked this place up. Saw steak on the menu, check, fresh pasta, check, add-on black truffles, double check. Sadly after ordering the waiter informs us they were out of truffles for the night. What can we do, leave? But we need to eat! With a little less excitement waiting for our meal to come out we began with the mussels. I tasted the broth and lo and behold we were hangry no more. Next, the Neapolitan style pizza full of pepperonis and perfectly burnt crust put my 5 year old in heaven. I ordered the fresh bucatini and was not disappointed in its soft, chewy texture and creamy sauce even though it had no truffles. My husband, the great steak eater, had the ribeye with truffle butter and it was on point. Already thinking about next time we will be going back because I forgot to mention that we polished off the lemon butter cake with its sugary bits accompanied by berries and gelato to end the night. The staff were friendly and attentive. They actually gave us a small discount for not having the truffles. Definitely, a reason to go back and try something new with truffles hopefully.

Short rib pasta 7/10 Vodka pasta with shrimp 8/10 Pistachios salad 10/10 Focaccia bread 10/10 Lemon cake and cappuccino 9/10 Customer service 10/10 Waitress was great. She asked if we were celebrating something (we were dressed up) said yes… anniversary. She brought us mini champagne bottle and glasses on the house 10/10 Can go casual or dress up 10/10 Interior/ exterior/ decor 10/10 Portions are shareable, enough for 2 or more 10/10 Chef came to each table to greet and ask how everything was going 10/10 Parking on street is busy on weekends but they do have a parking structure We parked a block away but enjoyed the walk… window shopping

we went for our anniversary dinner and they were aware. they did absolutely nothing for us to make us feel special. My sea bass was good as well as my wife’s cioppino but our son’s pasta was average at best. The cacio pepe wasn’t authentic whatsoever. guessing the chefs don’t know how to make it or just don’t care. it’s about as easy and simple as it gets. it tastes like alfredo because they put cream in it which it’s not supposed to have. our server was nice but seemed overwhelmed and never poured our wine for us. I wasn’t expecting fine dining but they could definitely do better. the place was only half full. Not sure we will be back. Fyi, the menu is slightly different then what you see online

Celebrated an 80th birthday and it was perfect. Guest of honor was impressed by the personal attention he received making his experience even more special. Food, as always, was exceptional!

The six of us are close, longtime friends, so we were having a good time talking and laughing. Our only disappointment was poor kitchen management and coordination. For our table of six, just two of our dinner entrees were delivered at first, leaving the rest of us to wait 5-7 minutes for our entrees to arrive. I’ve never experienced that before, and certainly not during the 7 years I worked as a server, decades ago. Had the six of us not wanted to keep our evening fun and easy going, and our waiter not been as attentive and apologetic, we might have turned ugly, made a scene and left. We’ll come back in a few months, in the hope that the manager and the chef get a better grasp on delivering all entrees at the same time.

I recently visited Four Bricks La Crosta and was highly disappointed with the experience. To start, we ordered the mozzarella frittes, which were bland, with breadcrumbs that fell off and a mediocre sauce. The King Salmon risotto was equally underwhelming, served with an overpoweringly thick sauce that drenched the risotto. The salmon itself was a small, bland strip, cooked adequately but lacking flavor. The beef tenderloin was cooked well but tasted slightly bland and was served without any sides. We also ordered scallops—four small ones for $15—which were fine, but the side of Brussels sprouts was completely burned and inedible. After sending them back, we were not charged, but it was still disappointing. Meals not served at the same time. We waited at least 10 minutes for the tenderloin to come out. While waiting my food got cold. Focaccia bread had to be ordered separately and wasn’t complimentary, which was surprising for an establishment of this price range. It was fine, but nothing special. The entire bill came to over $130.00 for two small plates and one IPA, not including the tip. While our server was pleasant, she seemed a bit overwhelmed and not very familiar with the beer menu. She checked on us only a couple of times but did clear our table twice, which was appreciated. However, the overall service and quality of the meal were far below what I expected, especially for the price. I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. For the money spent, I would recommend going to Bruno’s Italian Kitchen instead. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to Four Bricks La Crosta, and I can’t recommend it to others.
