Note: On Saturday and Sunday, August 10 and 11, Fountain will feature a buffet instead of an a la carte menu in honor of San Jose Jazz Summer Fest. (Per person: $35 for adults, $20 for children ages 5-12, free for children ages 4 and under, exclusive of 18% gratuity and tax.)

Offering an elegant breakfast with a wisp of French influence, Fountain Restaurant is a destination for weekday breakfast and weekend brunch in the heart of Downtown San Jose, right next to Circle of Palms. Greet the day with the aroma of freshly-brewed La Colombe coffee and French patisserie-inspired baked goods in our light, airy and welcoming space. Signature menu items include Salmon Florentine with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce and our indulgent chocolate crepe with Nutella. For those in search of a healthy start, our freshly squeezed fruit juices and smoothies feature local California produce. Kickstart your day with steel-cut oatmeal or enjoy a tasty acai bowl or chia pudding with seasonal flavors.

This was the place highly recommend by Yelp & Open Table in that area, so we decided to give it a shot for fathers day. The reservation was made with an ease, but the food was super over priced I mean a $22.00 for an Avocado Toast. the food was over all good but i don't think it was any different from any other brunch place. The only thing that was excellent and that stood out was our server, he was friendly and very welcoming.

First of all nowhere does it say it’s a hotel restaurant. it was hard to find and pricey. Surface wasn’t good. It was an overall disappointment.

As always the experience here is great! Thank you Kim for the warm welcome and Mario for the wonderful service! It is a busy breakfast restaurant, but it does not make the experience any less great. Also, whatever you do, order the Huevos Rancheros. Enjoy!!

We arranged the table to be in a T shape so everyone would see each other and talk. The waiter immediately started complaining about it and then made us wait forever for him to bring us coffee and then again forever to order. There is plenty of room for him to maneuver, and it was actually a perfect set up for him as well as us. After two hours, finally got up with the check and had to track him down. No one else would take it speaking of no one else, I was trying to change the reservations from 8 to 9 people, and the automated system would not let me talk to anyone of course, when I went onto, OpenTable times had changed. Not a good system.

Very good food but unfortunately service was subpar. We waited over 25 minutes for our food (restaurant wasn’t that busy) and I had to track down our waiter after waiting for over 20 minutes to close out our bill.

We stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday, and the restaurant was nearly empty. Despite that, service was inattentive. The waiter seemed unfamiliar with some questions in the menu. As an example, chia pudding is listed with “seasonal flavors”. When asked about the available flavors, the waiter dismissively replied “the usual flavor”. We asked for berries that come with the waffle to be brought on the side, but the berries were simply omitted. We asked for whole wheat toast with the omelet, but it came with white toast. The restaurant is large and airy, and the food was reasonably good, but we have little interest in returning after the disappointing service.

We arrived at 10:30am. There were maybe 5 other tables seated. It took 25 minutes for the waiter to take our order. Another 20-30 minutes for our food to come. AND IT WAS COLD. It was just breakfast...and the restaurant was NOT busy. This should not have taken this long. SO disappointed. We will NOT be back.

We went there for Easter Brunch. Food was excellent and higher quality than most buffets/brunches. We had a sushi and sashimi platter as well as seafood platter with oysters, shrimp and crab claws brought to our table. This is in addition to our three course meal and plate of various desserts. Mario was attentive and all the wait staff were superb.

Our party of seven was seated while the restaurant was mostly empty. The service stayed consistently attentive while the place filled up. The food was delicious.
