Located conveniently on Metro’s Silver Line, Founding Farmers Reston Station is a great gathering place for locals, nearby businesses, and commuters. Open 365 days a year, our culinary crew crafts dishes and drinks from scratch with simple, high-quality ingredients from farmers and suppliers we know and trust.

We had the nicest Christmas dinner. I’m so glad we went. Throughly enjoyed everything! Food was delicious and fresh and the service was outstanding too.

We found the Christmas buffet disappointing. Food were lacking in taste. It’s almost like they didn’t make any effort. The mac & cheese barely tasted cheesy despite the description “7-cheese.” The meat and chicken were dry. Probably dried up from sitting under the warmer lights. The salmon was dry and has a strong fishy smell. Some hot items were lukewarm or got cold by the time we returned to our table. Not enough space for the buffet area - very cramped. Mai Tai and Clementine Cocktails were overpowering and not enjoyable to drink. Overall not worth the price. Not coming back for any of their buffets.

I ordered prime rib. Worst cut of beef I’ve ever had. All fat and gristle. Prime rib is supposed to be best of the best. Not at Founding Farmers. The people who are supposed to know their business need to go back to cooking school. Very disappointed

My steak was undercooked and our server was not great. But other than that the experience was good. All of the food was flavored very well.

We were disappointed in our experience. The restaurant faces a large display that is in the plaza outside. This display shines light as it changes. This is very distracting and uncomfortable if you face the windows. We felt like we were in a Seinfeld episode with an annoying light affecting our mental state. It is bad and is amplified because the lighting in the restaurant is dim. The food was ok, but not spectacular. 3 of the dishes we underseasoned. The drinks were spectacular. The service was subpar. We had trouble getting the attention of our waiter to fix an issue with one of the meals were they didn’t provide a spoon for the stew and a salad that was to accompany the dish. We had to flag people down by waiving arms to get refills. It was busy, but not that busy. In my opinion, if looking for for a restaurant of this caliber you would be better served at Coopers Hawk or Clyde’s. We felt like we waisted our money and would not suggest this restaurant.

I ordered a glass of wine and the pour seemed larger than usual but I didn’t realize until the bill came that I was charged for a larger pour that I didn’t ask for. Also, the large video screen in the plaza outside the restaurant kept strobing which was extremely distracting.

While I love Founding Farmers and this location, the breakfast was a little disappointing. The cheesy grits tasted like rice pudding and the chicken maple sausage didn’t taste like it was cooked thoroughly. And while I appreciate servers who come to the table to clear our plates within a reasonable amount of time, we felt rushed as the server removed our plates extremely quick — I hadn’t finished my English muffin yet and he grabbed the plate that that was on and I told him “I wasn’t finished”. I’ve never experienced that before for the numerous times I’ve eaten here. While this experience today wasn’t great, it won’t deter me from patronizing this location. I still love the restaurant, the great food and service that I received in past visits and look forward to many more in the future.
