MoCo Founding Farmers appartient à plus de 40.000 familles d'agriculteurs du NDFU. Sa nourriture et ses boissons sont inspirées de la cuisine américaine et tout est confectionné de A à Z.

Bien que notre restaurant est alimenté par des centaines de fermes familiales, cela ne veut pas dire que nous connaissons chaque ferme, et cela ne signifie pas que nous ne devons pas acheter des produits de la chaîne d'approvisionnement traditionnelle, toutefois nous nous efforçons d’aligner nos dépenses avec nos valeurs fondamentales.
Nous servons la meilleure nourriture possible, faite de A à Z dans nos cuisines quotidiennement. Nos plats américains, innovants sont principalement fais avec des ingrédients du terroir, honorant les agriculteurs et leur travail.

We were looking forward to celebrating a milestone birthday. It seemed that the restaurant was not only short staffed, but significantly short on inventory. They ran out of all beef except burgers, out of crabcakes, out of catfish, etc. The single waiter was serving all parties in the upstairs dining room. The seafood risotto was dry and looked unappetizing. The salads were fresh and delicious. Overall, this restaurant fell short of expectations.

The servings have really gotten smaller. I’ve haven’t been there in years. Quality is great but don’t think I’ll come back anytime soon.

I have been to several Founding Farmers locations and to say this one was my least favorite, is an understatement. We arrived hopeful and the hostess staff was welcoming, but all that occurred after that was not in line with what I have come to expect from their restaurants. The food was bland, had no seasoning if any (so we had to use lots of salt and pepper, but we shouldnt of have to). Our appetizer never came out before our meals. When our meals came and I was asked is everything OK, I tried to not complain about the foods lack of flavor and tiny portion size of our two orders of shrimp and risotto ($36.50 ea.), instead I tried to remain civil and just mention we never got our appetizer. The waiter apologized and acknowledged that we shoild have never had to wait that long for our appetizer and said he wasnt sure what happened to it but would check and we would ask his manager to comp that, because we never got it. He came back and eventually and said, they are working on it, and it would be comped. We finished our lack luster meal, not because it tasted amazing, but because we had be shopping in DC Center City all day prior to our early dinner and were eagerly anticipating our normally scrumptious meal at FF. When the finally brought the check, the appetizer was still charged to us and the waiter seemed annoyed that we expected it to not be there...after he himself said we should have gotten our appetizer before our food or at least the same time as our food came out. We noticed people around us that arrived later then we did got their apps before us. He himself said he was going to see if that could be comped and came back and told us it would. We came to this area on family fun travel ,as we do every year, to take in the sights, shop, eat at our favorite eateries, and stay in lavish hotels and look at the botanical garden light displays...but this year everything was great, but our dinner was a bust! Not what we were expecting or accustomed to at all.

We go to Founding Farmers regularly and usually have very good service there. Last night was an exception. The waiter was slow to come initially, and to take our food order. The three of us all ordered salads. One salad came out, then it was about a 5 minute wait before the second salad came out. Then another five minutes, and nothing. We hailed a waiter (not ours) to inquire and he responded that the kitchen was backed up. It was another 3-5 minutes before the third salad finally arrived. We were not in a big hurry but that much delay in between different people getting their meals is poor form.
