Excellent service from the time I stepped into the door. The host immediately took us to the table. Our server Santi was amazing. The food was delicious.

Our server was very professional but they must have been short staffed when we were there. We waited over an hour for our entrees to come out and when they did they were pretty disappointing in portion sizing and quality. Three at our table got the red snapper special which was a very small with what looked like an attempt at risotto with 5ish bites of vegetables that gave the impression of steamed frozen veggies from a grocery store. I got the veggie burger which would have been pretty good except for the Heinz yellow mustard which was an unpleasant surprise. I also got a vegetable side which included faro and it lacked any kind of unifying flavor or sauce. Other folks in our group faired as badly with lackluster “spicy” dishes off the Chinatown inspired menu. I really wanted our meal to better, especially with how cool our server was but sadly I think we will not be returning.

09/22/24 was my second time having brunch at Founding Farmers and Distillers, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my first visit. While the ambience was light and inviting, the service and food quality left a lot to be desired. Starting with the service, our waiter Jah was attentive overall, but there were a few mishaps. We opted for the buffet option, but some drink orders were missed, and the brûlée grapefruit, which had to be ordered separately from the buffet, didn’t arrive until 30 minutes later. The dumplings and tuna bites we ordered came out in a timely manner and were delicious, but the crab dip arrived cold, which was disappointing. As for the buffet, the quality of the food was underwhelming. Many items were overcooked, including hard fried chicken, rubbery fried shrimp, and tough biscuits. Even the French toast bites and dessert pastries were hard and unenjoyable. Looking around at other tables, I noticed many plates still half-filled with food, suggesting others were as disappointed as we were. While I had high hopes for this brunch, it fell short this time. I hope they work on improving the food quality because the atmosphere and service have potential. We left the restaurant feeling like we had overpaid for food that didn’t meet expectations. This was my second time brunching here, but after this experience, I’m not sure I’d rush back.

The brunch menu has a lot to offer. If there’s something on there but you don’t see it out ask your server. We were brought several items including the ahi tuna bites, crab dip, bruleed grapefruit and chia bowl. The severs were patient and attentive.
