Just ok I think there are cheaper and better places in DC for breakfast.Very crowded and in my opinion too small for a buffet which is just ok for $35. Because of the lack of space once items were replenished they were gone very quickly.

Food was amazing. So fresh and delicious.. We ordered of the a la carte menu for brunch. There was a buffet and it looks amazing, but we were glad we went with the a la carte menu. The food was fresh and the servings were just enough! The biscuits and beignet were to die for soooo good. Our server informed us that everything there was farmed locally and they even made their own syrup which was delicious.

It took nearly one hour to receive our drinks and appetizers after sitting down to eat and the entire meal lasted almost 2.5 hours. The food was good, but more than 1/3 of the order came out of the kitchen wrong. Things that we had asked to have removed were on things, things we wanted had been removed, items we had ordered were unavailable…would not repeat.

I have heard good things about Founding Farmers and was looking forward to trying it. I think it was a one and done kind of place. My first impression was that it was poorly decorated fire the holidays compared to other local establishments. The music was extremely loud to where we were shouting at each other and the server to be able to hear one another. The service was extremely slow, not just on the main meals, but the drinks, chips and dip, greeting/waters. Everything we ate was okay. Nothing spectacular and overpriced for the quality. The spinach dip tasted like it was frozen and heated. The portions were all small for our meals. I don’t recommend. I don’t like to sound negative, I just hate for someone else to waste their money and time here.

Ordered the shrimp and grits, I had more onion and celery in the bowl than anything else. Disappointed, very little flavor. My husband’s gnocchi entree was cold. Cocktails were good. This was our first time here and probably won’t be back.

Oh, what I would do to have A Founding Farmers Chinatown in New Hampshire! The menu has the perfect variety of selections. Everyone was absolutely more than satisfied! From the cocktail to the dessert. What a wonderful night to get together with friends!

I made a reservation for 9 people through open table. When we arrived at the restaurant about 10 minutes early we were told they had 2 adjacent booths for us but no table for 9. What’s the point of making a reservation if the restaurant is going to ignore it? I was getting 2 teams together for a bonding lunch and it was impossible at 2 different tables. A waste of time and money. Our server was excellent. The food was fine.

Once again, an excellent experience at Farmers and Distillers. For a Wednesday night the place was packed, but the a very large conference was being held in the nearby convention center.
